Cape May Warbler; a new bird for my life list!

I've recently had a "new" bird at my feeders. It caught my eye immediately: small like a finch; orange/black/white similar to an oriole; tiny pointed bill like a warbler; and eating sugar nectar and suet.

I'd never seen one of these birds before so I started writing down details and took photos. It's been cold and damp, and he was a bit shy, so I took several poor shots from inside the living room.

We ruled out "Blackburnian Warbler" and "Magnolia Warbler". The photos gave me enough definition for some of the local and forum bird gurus, along with my guide book, to give us a positive identification.

He's a Cape May Warbler, passing through on his migration from the winter range in the West Indies to his breeding area of northern/eastern Canada and U.S.

Here are a couple photos from the Internet:

And my poor-quality photo. I'm going to try for better shots tomorrow. He's becoming more tolerant of my walking by the tree. You can "almost" see his rusty eye patch here.
