I understand the supposed psychology behind season finale cliffhangers, but I wondered how many people really think about a television show during its hiatus. As for me, I realize that I've usually forgotten how the prior season ended until I'm reminded with the introduction to the new season. I don't spend any time past the day I watch the cliffhanger thinking about possible plot developments. How about you? Does a cliffhanger spark your imagination? Do you think about the characters and their situation during the hiatus? Does a cliffhanger build your anticipation for the fall season? Are you more or less likely to watch an episode if you know it will end in a cliffhanger? I have no specific purpose in starting the discussion. I'm just curious.
