What's for dinner tonite?

It's late so I'm guessing everyone's had dinner for the most part.

It was a beautiful day today, comfortable temperatures; sunny and around 18 degrees (66). Went to a few garage sales this morning, a bit of shopping, did laundry and hung it outside.

Simple dinner of hotdogs and roasted veggies in the oven.

How was your day and what did you have for dinner?

I have been busy all day in the kitchen it seems. I fixed supper for the 7 of us. Baked pasta, corn on the cob, green beans, coleslaw, Jello and strawberry cake. Alyssa loves green beans and corn on the cob. She didn't know what to think of the Jello at first.

I played bridge today. Partner and I came in first which surprised us because we had such crummy cards. That's the good part of duplicate, though. Doesn't matter how bad the cards are it's how good you do with the bad cards. LOL Guess we held our own. I didn't get home until 5:40. Was going to make shrimp creole but am settling for chili from the freezer instead. We'll have the creole Wednesday night. Hope you feel better Jas.

Thanks, Jasdip. Harry has had the computer tied up again finishing up our taxes. I thought he'd NEVER get finished! But, they're done and sent--whew! We had last night's dinner tonight because by the time we got around to it yesterday, it was late so we just had sandwiches. I've tried a few of the Pioneer Woman's recipe and they turned out well. Her personality doesn't come over as well on TV as it does in her writing, but she's a cutie. Sounds like everyone is well-fed tonight. Enjoy your evening!!

Amber and I did the grocery shopping today because we knew the bad weather was coming. We had our lunch at Logan's and as usual I always bring half of mine home. I had some toast and tea earlier so I will eat my southwestern barbecue chicken, coleslaw, baked sweet potato and onion petals along with the yeast roll tomorrow. Still cold and snowing here. Been out shopping today so we picked up fried chicken and gizzards, I am stuffed. I picked up fresh strawberries at the farm, I will have some later.

a big salad, and a bowl of cabbage soup. Both were ready made in my fridge/freezer, and thus, quick and easy for this worn out woman.

I made each of us a huge salad. There was left over chicken from Thursday night so I sliced it up and put it on the salads. Delicious!! We just finished having some fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

We went to Partner's Pizza....yummmm and enjoyed the live band and the old car show in the parking lot.
