We had a wonderful time. I just love visiting with Nita and Carol and Nita's husband is just as easy to get to know as she is. They have lived in so many countries and so many places I love hearing about. It's not every day you hear someone say in conversation, "When we lived in Ethiopia..." What an exciting life!

I was a little disappointed in my lunch. I thought the ham loaf was a little dry because I left it in longer than I should have. Same with the potatoes and I won't even discuss the asparagus. But everybody seemed to like it and had seconds on the potatoes. I didn't have dessert because we don't usually eat our big meal until evening.

So no dinner for us tonight unless we want to "pick".

Where is everyone tonight?

Salisbury steaks with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli and cauliflower.

Today was grocery shopping day. Since we are not taking Alyssa out in town because of the measles outbreak and she is still too young for her shot, we took turns doing our shopping. We ordered lunch from Logan's Steakhouse and ate in the truck. By that time Alyssa was sound asleep. I ate my side salad, onion petals and a couple bites of my southwestern barbecue chicken. I thought I would eat the leftover chicken and coleslaw for my supper, but was not all that hungry so I just ate a couple of the rolls I brought home. So guess if I want tomorrow I can eat my chicken and coleslaw.

I'm feeling very lazy today. Just having pizza and a salad. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel more creative.

My first real full meal in almost a week was ruined by a fender bender.

Drove all the way over to Jubilee Joes with my tummy ready to be filled: fried oyster plate, horse radish mayo for dipping, with their wonderful cole slaw and a cup of yummy to the tummy sausage and chicken gumbo (no rice please)
