What's for dinner tonite?

Blustery day today, they are telling people not to go out if they don't have to. Good day to have a little chicken in the oven with potatoes around it. Carrots and corn as well.

I picked up a large supreme pizza fresh made at the grocery deli, that is dinner.

Tortellini with marinara sauce and small tossed salad. That's it.

Yes, Jas. That's the recipe I used. If you make them, be very careful adding the baking soda it foams up real fast. I added a teeny tiny bit at a time. I had a very tall pot and didn't have any trouble with the boiling over but they are still very messy to make. I had cleaned my cook top the night before (foolish that I was) and had to wipe down everything when I was through. They are worth it though. I did find they were even better the second day heated through.

Amber and I did the grocery shopping today because we knew the bad weather was coming. We had our lunch at Logan's and as usual I always bring half of mine home. I had some toast and tea earlier so I will eat my southwestern barbecue chicken, coleslaw, baked sweet potato and onion petals along with the yeast roll tomorrow. Still cold and snowing here. My daughter Britt, and I are going to Swiss Chalet for dinner tonight to use up a 2 for 1 coupon I have. It expires tomorrow, and we're both free this evening, so I thought it would be nice to visit and catch up with her. She just got back from snowboarding in Banff. Nice and mild here in Edmonton today!

It was upper 50's for us today in Nebraska - totally out of the norm. But I'm making homemade lasagna!

We had hamburger,carrot and potato hotdish, there is a few slices of the homemade bread from last night. I made jello and whipped cream to go with, DH asked for the carmel apple dip and sliced apples I made a couple days ago instead.

I thought ahead to throw some porkchops in the crockpot this a.m., with diced tomatoes and onions. Was out most of the afternoon with the kids and came home to dinner done! Added some egg noodles and veggies. I use the liner so clean up is easy too!

Since we ate out with JoAnn FL for lunch I fixed myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Also had a banana and half a glass of milk.
