I have a big thick ham steak I am going to pan fry and have steamed cauliflower and field peas to go with it.

You should have had egg drop soup. I love the stuff and maybe it would make your throat feel a little better.

We aren't eating tonight. Harry had an appt. with the opthomologist in Gainesville this afternoon at 1, so when he was finished a little after 2, he was starving. We went to TGI Friday's and I had pecan-crusted chicken salad and Harry had a cup of tomato-basil soup and 1/2 a California turkey sandwich (smoked turkey, bacon, ham and jack cheese on ciabatta bread with lettuce, tomato, avocado and mayo.

My salad had romaine and other spring lettuces, mandarin oranges, dried cranberries, blue cheese crumbles, celery and sweetened little pecan pieces with a balsamic vinigrette with the pecan-crusted chicken breast slices on top. It came in on a huge plate/bowl--like they serve pasta in. It was so good I ate just about all of it. Harry couldn't believe it!

We didn't finish lunch until almost 3:30, so neither one of us are hungry.

I had a hot dog, coleslaw and a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie and now it is all gone :)

I played bridge today. Partner and I came in first which surprised us because we had such crummy cards. That's the good part of duplicate, though. Doesn't matter how bad the cards are it's how good you do with the bad cards. LOL Guess we held our own. I didn't get home until 5:40. Was going to make shrimp creole but am settling for chili from the freezer instead. We'll have the creole Wednesday night. Hope you feel better Jas.

Made a huge lasagna and just put it in the oven. Half of it will be plenty for 6 of us tonight, and the rest goes in the freezer for another time. I'll serve it with garlic bread and a tossed salad. I love to know there are nice homemade meals tucked away in the freezer for unexpected company, or just for lazy days.

Well, as I might have mentioned.... We had stuffed shells with meatballs and some really really hot marinated fresh mozzarella; Italian bread with herbed olive oil to dip it in, and applesauce.

I decided to have something from the freezer. Chose lasagna. Had some bread to go with it.

patti: it would take me several days to eat a salad that big.

I have a prime rib in the oven, it sure smells good. Will have mashed potatoes and corn with it.

When I can't decide on where to go, I head for Golden Corral :o(

Sorry you're not feeling good.

We had oven baked stew, mostly from a recipe I found on the back on Lipton Onion soup mix. It's delicious! Even Lauren liked it and she hates my regular stew. This has just beef cooked after being dipped in flour, onions, carrots, mushrooms, can of tomatoes, onion soup mix and red wine. All baked in the oven for 1 1/2 hours and served over wide egg noodles.

Meat loaf, which I haven't made in a long time, mashed potatoes, green beans, and we each had 2 huge chocolate covered strawberries that I made yesterday. DH had a french roll but I skipped the bread.

Made some plain chicken in the crock pot. Shredded mine and made Green chili chicken enchiladas for me-DELISH!!! DH isn't a fan so he and the girls just had some chicken with noodles and carrots.

I have enough for dinner tomorrow, but we'll see if the enchiladas survive lunch! lol
