No question about it. We are having left over meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn and red cabbage. I tried those Bretzel rolls last night, Jas. One of my guests asked if he could take two home with him. I guess that says it all for the rolls. They were very good and even better heated up this morning.

Country fried steak, mashed potatoes and red eye gravy, spinach and banana pudding.

I saw them mentioned on the Cooking Forum. Is that the recipe you used, Georgy?

I just noticed your post here and at the shopping thread.

I tried clicking on your username to see if you are new, or if you've been here a while, but I haven't noticed. GW is extremely slow bringing up our info (I clicked on my username and my page too) and they wouldn't come up.

Anyhooo, I am making a short story long, so I wanted to say WELCOME Beth. We love having new or nearly-new members sit at our Table!

We are having chicken breast....I think I will make piccata....and serve it over spaghetti or maybe I'll make a wider noodle...I like it better that way...I haven't made any fresh pasta in a couple of months and I have a "taste" for it...

Dh actually made a suggestion for tonight's dinner. So, egg salad sandwiches it was, with a tossed salad, a few potato chips and the ever present pickled beets.

There isn't one meal mentioned above that I wouldn't enjoy having. Good cooks on the KT.

I made a beef bulgur casserole for my meal.

Yes, Jas. That's the recipe I used. If you make them, be very careful adding the baking soda it foams up real fast. I added a teeny tiny bit at a time. I had a very tall pot and didn't have any trouble with the boiling over but they are still very messy to make. I had cleaned my cook top the night before (foolish that I was) and had to wipe down everything when I was through. They are worth it though. I did find they were even better the second day heated through.

I still can't taste things like I should but I had baked smokey grillers, spicy french fries fixed in the oven with the grillers. Then I baked one of my yellow 3-2-1 cakes and put unsweetened frozen peach slices on the top. Big mug of hot tea to drink.

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts were half price at Ralphs. I cooked two in a cast iron frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil, a little smoked Spanish paprika, garlic powder and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Put the flame on low, took the lid off and on and kept turning them until they were firm and done. Served them with some cooked buttered spinach and toasted seeded artisan bread. Satisfying.

Gadgets, I completely agree with you! I'm always in awe and envy at some of the meals the ladies throw together.
