LOVE your laundry room!!! :) It's lovely and peaceful and just needs a punch of color to bring it alive. I'd add some easy-care plants near the windows and a photo or painting that you adore in the spot above the dryer. I like the suggestion of a valence or a roman shade above the window. Find a fabric that coordinates with your artwork and ideally includes green from the plants and a maybe a punch of red. Overall, find a few things you truly love. You're going to spend a lot of time in this room and guests will rarely see it, so I think making it a "haven" for yourself would be wonderful. Here is a link that might be useful:

I love white/cream walls and every room in my house is painted a warm cream color. I've just put pics of my living room and MBR here on another thread. As for advice, DillyDally has already given you great advice; no need to repeat the same thing twice ;^D In our MBR, I used soft rose and green for accent colors in here. I also like the warmth that comes from the contrast of the brick floors and fruitwood furniture (I said chestnut on the other thread. It's not). I've also added texture and subtle color variations with the darker cream crochet throw, the throw pillows, the embroidered drapes, etc. In our living room, the walls and the two sofas are both a warm cream. The floors are brick and I've brought in dark, rich colors ( black, browns,green and a rusty red) with the Oriental rug, the art work, and some furniture pieces. In our kitchen, I like that there's a nice contrast to the cream walls and tile work with the brick floor and the dark cherry cabs. As much as I love white on white/cream rooms, I do like to to balance each of them with dark colors . . . the warm woods of my furniture, my dark brick floors and my accent pieces. For me, that's what really helps add to the warmth to each of my rooms. Lynn

Funny... I had typed my thoughts and the only thing that appeared was "add a headboard". I'll try again! I absolutely LOVE your decorating style in this room. Since it is so close to what I love this is fun for me. Here's my suggestions. 1. Keep the blue. Too cute! The letters look lonely above the bed. This is where my eye first went. I'd frame the letters with a square or rectangle. Maybe white like your molding or red like the accent colors. 2. I'd move the one end table somewhere else and instead put two swing arm lamps beside the windows next to each bed. These are boys, right? I'd add a touch of black or navy blue, maybe a cute red/blue striped lamp shade. Pottery barn has many that would match this theme. 3. I'd fill up that bottom shelf of your hutch with plenty of books. On one of the other shelves, I'd give each child a blue or red fabric basket to keep their stuff in. Target or Bed Bath and Beyond have these. 4. If the boys are under 7 I'd keep the table. If they are older you may want to substitute something else. 5. Definitely add some bean bags! 6. Add a cool looking rug. Maybe under the window where the bean bags would go. 7. KEEP the blue. It is perfect! 8. Either frame the letters so in effect that becomes your headboard or move the letters and the pictures onto a ledge together (same spot as the current pictures) and add a headboard. That's how I'd do it. My four boys are all sports fans so I'd also have their individual sports all over their walls and baseball cap all over and things like that. It's looking great!

@beth09, there was a recent discussion about built-in cutting boards here and I was surprised that there were people who didn't like them. I was also surprised about how many of them had major concerns about sanitation with them. Mine haven't made me sick yet. Every older kitchen I've had, including my current one, has had those type of cutting boards. I love them. I have three in my current kitchen and they are one reason why I'm reusing my cabinet boxes as I'm not finding these type of cutting boards in newer cabinet lines unless you go custom, definitely not in my budget. I hope you have better luck finding them in the cabinet line you choose.
