lehua - you can't see the problem now as the posts have become scattered with time but originally, when the comments above were made there were 6 general comment posts, one right after another, all within a couple of minutes of each other, all by the same person, all on only a single example of the same topic, all of which could have been and should have been combined into 1 post by the author as such discussions usually are. The effect of multiple posts on the same topic is a domination of the first page of the forum by one person. It also bump 6 other people's post off the front page and 6 other posts off the forum's last page permanently. We are only allowed a certain amount of forum storage/server use. That is why it is frowned on and prohibited. It is a type of posting that is prohibited by the forum guidelines here and on most public forums simply because it it infringes on the rights of the other participants to have their post read and answered. General forum etiquette considers it Spamming (something we all know about, or should if we spend any time online) - a negative form of intrusive communication usually practiced by those wishing to interfere with or even block normal forum operation and activities. That clearly was not the case in this instance, we knew that, thus the kinder words from some. But harsh words directed at the person are often the result when this is practiced in most instances the intent is not innocent exuberance. It pays to be familiar with the Forum Use Instructions linked on every page and to think twice before hitting the submit button. ;) Dave

WOW that stuff looks pretty good in a picture!!! I am SOOO glad you were pleased! I had to do a little fudging on the napkins since the fabric was slippery. I doubled them for when you want to do a special fold and have it "pretty" on both sides. You will eventually get another box (last week was Grandma Camp...I have to recover for a day or two :^) since I forgot an important item that belonged in the first box!! Gettin' old!! Thanks so much for posting...now I will be thinking about you every time I see purple Christmas decos :^)

I agree with Jannie on the time. If you arrive at the church at 1:30, you will have time to visit with other people you may know before going into the home. It sounds like you are in for a wonderful afternoon. Have fun!!

I wouldn't go. If she doesn't want you there on her special day, don't give her a reason to resent you for ruining it (in her own mind anyway) It would just give her something else to whine about. You're SDs sound like they have a lot of growing up to do. Why spend a whole day being uncomfortable? Let your DH and younger SD go and enjoy the wedding without distraction. Plan a day for yourself, and enjoy it. As for younger SD moving out, yeah, let's see how the older one and her husband will welcome another adult into their home after they are just married and starting a life together. Frankly, I admire the fact you have even tried this long to connect with them. If it were me, I would be counting the days til that 18th birthday, and celebrate it by helping the little shrew pack her crap into the back of a moving van and changing the locks....but that's just me. Both of them are old enough now to know that you are not trying to be a substitute for their mother, and they should certainly realize how you make their father happy. What did they want? Their father to wallow away in miserable solitude, lighting a candle for their mothers memory every night until his death? They sound childish and selfish. I suspect that when they are older and hopefully wiser, perhaps with children of their own, they will come around and apologize for their terrible treatment of you. But I digress. To sum it up, don't go. SD doesn't want you there, and it's her day. Don't take it personally,as she sounds like a petulant brat who would treat anyone who had married her father the same way. You will not enjoy it. SD would not enjoy it. DH wants you there as his wife, good for him, but it may be a relief to him if you decided on your own not to go. He would have to deal with his daughters tantrums. Go to the spa. Go shopping. Take advantage of an empty house and eat bon bons on the couch in your underwear. Anything. We have to few days on this earth to spend any one of them doing something unpleasant if we can avoid it. You not only can avoid it, but have been given a free pass to do so. Take it.
