My first thought is have the painter use painters tape and tape off a line somewhere behind the column. I would match however the paint will end at the opposite column. I think painting one wall green in the foyer will look like you never finished painting or you ran out of paint. Now that is just my style....I personally dont like accent walls, I like a room to be one color unless you paint above or below a chair rail. Again, thats just me:) Did you consider the dining room one color, running the wall in question the dining room color, then doing the rest of the foyer walls in the shade lighter (or darker)?

The only think I would suggest is to get a sample of the color you pick before the painter comes and paint a posterboard so that you can see a large area of it and move it around in the different light. I like the sample with the checks the best, but I like it better in the 1st picture than the second and I don't know which one is more accurate. Like gk5040, I'm not much of an accent wall person and I'm worried that the darker green might be a little overwhelming, but that may just be me. I wish I could PS it for you, but I never have figured out how to do that.

Oh gosh, I hate to agree with the others because you've obviously given this lots of thought but I wouldn't paint two colors at all. And, dare I say it, I'm not a fan of the greens (at least on my monitor) I'm sorry!

I have to go review your other posts because I know you've been contemplating this for a very long time. But did you consider soft golds or yellow? Okay, you can smack me now!

Okay, I just reviewed and I remember now...the greens we were playing with seemed more in the range of Sages. From my monitor, the samples you have are very "Apple green". Do you think they look like that in person? I still like the SW Blonde idea or even Restrained Gold. Did you decide that wouldn't give you enough pop??

Like I said, you can smack me now if you had your heart set on those two colors of green.

lindybarts - I don't know if it came across in my post, but I was trying to say exactly what you're saying about the green. I think the kitchen color has enough "pop" to it that the rest of the house should be a little more toned down. I'm ducking next to lindy.

I'm still not completely clear on which walls get which color but tried on the lighter one just in your living room. In my opinion, it doesn't go well with your beautiful coral kitchen. Still voting for SW Blonde! tee hee

Had a hard time getting straight lines with your pic but here's a quick version. I might try Ben Moore and see if I have better luck. But still not sure where the dark goes and where the light green should be???

I'm kind of with Linda and msrose on this-I think the golds would be beautiful in your rooms. However, if you love greens (which I do) what about a great neutral green like BM Camouflage, Baby Turtle or Flowering Herbs?? Something that coordinates with so many others. Just a thought.......

I am not a green person in the least. I convinced myself that it was needed since the drapes were gold.

The green with the check marks, has a gold tint to it, but not much.

Okay, so tomorrow I will go look at gold colors again. I dont want a dark gold, but something with a little pop! If that is possible.

If I go with one color only, and lets say it will be gold, do I bring it into the entryway on that wall, or just end it at the column.

Any suggestions in the gold family and how light or dark should I go?

After searching the golds, I will definitely be considered a "gold digger".

Susan, I like that new color alot and it's got the drama you were looking for...but only you are going to be able to tell if it works with your dining room drapes. It looks to have a bit more orange to it than the Blonde. (maybe too much orange with your drapes but so hard to say without seeing it up close with a paint swatch.

Actually, in looking at my virtuals, they may be closer to the next color down which is Restrained Gold.
