How do you feel about cabs in kitchen - 2 colors?
Comments (33)Aktillery - I hope you don't mind I posted your kitchen but I do truly love it!! I hope you keep us updated with your new kitchen. Bet your house sold fast b/c of your previous kitchen!! jenanla, your kitchen is gorgeous!! I love all the elements you have chosen!! I hope you keep us updated - that reddish color would be perfect in my house, too:) Homeagain, thanks so much for the pics - an island just like that one has been in my mind!! I also like the idea of open shelving over the pennisula - I wouldn't have to change the pendant lights - I have tried to keep my eyes open for an antique piece I could repurpose for this spot. Parma & Teacats - yall are so funny!! I can't help it:) My Dh says save your ideas for the next house - but with the market like it is.....I am here for awhile!! Amac, I am so glad you posted!! I totally hear what you and Senko are saying! I did have a sisal rug in there but my puppy thought that was his personal litter box:( I still need window treatments & could add cushions for the barstools at the same time - great idea. Simpletaste - great ideas, too. Pattycakes, I would love to see pics of your kitchen!! Thank you all so much for your advice!! I am sorry if I didn't call out to your personally - it would be a looooooong post but I appreciate the vote of confidence!! This will not be an overnite thing like Reno! It seems like I have been in percolate mode with this kitchen for years! It just doens't feel right to me yet even thou it is fine. I also feel that for the neighborhood the kitchen could be better. BTW, I kinda like this rug for under the table & if I got a small island - get one to go under the island that matches. What do you think? Of course, everyone has seen this one, too but this is the eat in kitchen part. I still need window treatments & am leaning towards the pheasant fabric in a roman shade - maybe with a red border. You can barely see the white trim by the table there is a window that is 69" wide so it lets in good light & I love to look in the back yard where the bird feeders are! Old pic... > I found these chair cushions at Ballards for the barstools in the red check Smiles:).......See MoreHow do you feel about smudge proof vs. regular stainless steel applian
Comments (12)I purchased a whirlpool refrigerator/freezer on bottom with smudgeproof coating. coating started peeling around the handles where they screwed in. Icemaker started leaking, water froze up under the large drawer above freezer. This caused the coating to peel on the bottom of the freezer drawer and it rusted. I called the store where i purchased it, naturally my warranty was up. The lady in appliances stated they don’t have anything to do with the appliances, they just sell them. She told me why don’t i paint it! i said what!!! couldn’t believe she said that. I had two service men come out. First one defrosted the ice under the drawer and defrosted line behind icemaker. Said should be fine. After he left, i called left message said it wasn’t working. Didn’t hear back. Called another company, he defrosted it with dryer, said it needed a part, part would cost $100 and he had to order it and it would take a week to get it. Came back, put part in said it should be fine. Next morning, icemaker still not working, leaking allover the floor. Call whirlpool, several places no help. Looked up litigations against whirlpool, could’t believe how many there were. Had a list of model numbers that they listed that would qualify. Naturally, mine wasn’t list. Left an email and extensive not with serial/model numbers, got answer back stated couldn’t help me because my number wasn’t listed. Well icemaker still not working and leaking. Spent over $400?on two servicemen. Not wasting anymore money. I will never purchase another whirlpool product, pardon my french this sucks!!!!!🥺😜...See MoreHow do you feel about solid surface (Corian) shower walls vs tile?
Comments (117)Hi, anyone from Vancouver Canada? I have been trying to find a source for a Corian solid surface shower pan but am having a difficult time finding one. I've called a few bathroom supply stores and went to a few Home Depot and they only have the ugly acrylic ones and only in white, Corian.com does not even mention this type of product so why is that? If it's such a great product why wouldn't they advertise it?...See MoreHow do you feel about a guest room with 2 F/Q beds?
Comments (44)Annette, husbands can be so inconvenient for decorating at times, can't they! Moderntropicalglam, the paint can is so old I can't really make out the color. Going by the paint used in rest of house, I am going to deduce this is a benjamin Moore CC (designer classics) collection and of those colors I think it looks like Prairie Lily. Also to you and holly, thanks for saying I'm not fluffy but it's ok! I'm pretty fine being on the fluffy side and likely have chosen photos you've seen as carefully as any gal on a dating website....See Morebedelia
