Whoopie! Congratulations, Annie. Looks like some blocks are on the way to Cornwall, and your own are coming home. LOL. You've been a really good sport to take the trouble to post them over the pond, and I'm happy to see your name drawn in return.

I've been running the applique lotto twice a year, Jan./Feb. and July/Aug. alternating with the paper pieced lotto in April/May and Oct./Nov. This gives everyone two months to complete their blocks and gives us a month long break in between each. If there's enough interest, perhaps we could modify this, but so far (I think), everyone is pretty happy with this schedule. Next month I'll add this information to the sign up post. I don't know why I hadn't thought about doing so sooner. ;) Cathy

This is sooooo exciting!!!!!! I just remembered it's now May (still can't believe it! Where did April go????). My mother loves green and her birthday is in a few weeks. Maybe????? Thank you to everyone that participated :-) I'll post some pictures when I figure out how to assemble the squares.

Hazelnutbunny, I'll get that address off to you this evening. You'll do fine with the points. Some directions are easier than others to get them to line up well. Many times, when I have a lot of triangles to do, I modify the pattern from working with little triangles, to using two squares, and seaming them down the middle and cutting off the waste to use later in a scrappy. Those bias seams are doosies. I also starch bias seams before I sew them and handle them carefully now. I was amazed at the play in them and always wondered why my triangles were out of shape and my points off. I'm still working on it too! I also have to make a fabric run for this one, but thank goodness for fat quarters! rivergirl, i received 12 in the mail (6 were mine! LOL), and I heard from salijo that she has 2 more for me that did not get into the lotto on time, but she is supposed to be sending them on. I still have some black & white's, so I may augment what I received to make a full quilt. I don't know what I will do for sashing/borders. Such a challenge still! maggie_sue, you should definitely make room to try a lotto! I have participated in 3 I think, and now I've won one. This is so cool ... so little work, so great a reward.
