Thanks for the input, Marsha. As for the security, the site is only open to someone who has the link, you can't just search for it. It's not really a website, but a document sharing function on Google. So unless you got the link from the Garden Web Quilt Forum, (more specifically the lotto posts) you can't even view it. And I figured everyone would need the address anyway to send in squares. I checked out the "return to previous page" link. That is a Google function that I can't fix, unfortunately. And right now it's even having a problem going to the site, but that appears to be a connection problem in Google, rather than a configuration problem. I'll keep checking to see if it gets better. Also, once the pattern opens, it should be in a new tab so that you can go back just by closing the tab. The original shouldn't go away, but be there next to the pattern tab. Thanks for letting me know!

Kate, here are the blocks I made ~ my first time doing applique. And thanks to you (again) I am able to post pics. It is hard to see, but I used a blanket stitch, by machine, everywhere except the feet on the rooster. I was only going to make one, but it was fun and I learned something new! Cute aren't they? ~ if I do say so myself. You should try more applique, esp since you like to make decorative wall hangings ~ lots of ways to add beads!

Cathy, Looked real quickly for blocks w/New Year's theme, but didn't see any on Quilter's Cache. A couple good ones w/friendship theme, Friendship Star Variation & Friendship Scrap Block were neat; as well as Album, Chevron & Tennessee. All are 12" & none are very difficult. These are just a thought - I'll not be bummed if none of them are used!:) I've gotten tough skin in my old age! lol! Enjoy your staycation - they can be very restful & productive. ~Cindy

Oh my gosh! Wow! My first win! I was thinking I would never win one. I just read the other lotto and thought that was this one. They will probably think my message was strange. I am so happy. This will be such a happy quilt. Thanks for everyone's time to put these blocks together. I can't believe it. This started my day out super! Happy, Happy, Happy! Nancy

I've been running the applique lotto twice a year, Jan./Feb. and July/Aug. alternating with the paper pieced lotto in April/May and Oct./Nov. This gives everyone two months to complete their blocks and gives us a month long break in between each.
If there's enough interest, perhaps we could modify this, but so far (I think), everyone is pretty happy with this schedule.
Next month I'll add this information to the sign up post. I don't know why I hadn't thought about doing so sooner. ;)
