Picking out Kitchen Paint color - gray/greige/beige?
Comments (25)I have balanced beige and tony taupe by SW in my house. They might look good with your floor. I like all of the colors you have tried besides the two that look too blue. Edge comb is probably my favorite of your samples. It seems to have just a hint of taupe to mix well with your floors and might be a bit warmer. Good luck and please show after pictures....See MoreGreige experts/fans:Why do my greige paint colors look icky at ni
Comments (4)patty cakes-I went through so many samples and spent so much money. When I saw a huge portion of my wall painted with camouflage I thought it looked great! Silver, gold, black, and white frames all looked lovely with the color. It's gray yet green and also a bit "warm". It just looks yucky at night in my dining room so perhaps it's just the type of lighting. Anyhow, my point is that I thought I did a great job of weeding out the one's I din't like. Oh well Palimpsest-you're right about lighting! Camouflage looks pea green in my kitchen which has recessed halogen lighting, and looks more gray/green in the other rooms (well at night it looks muddy in my dining room). Changing out the light in my sons room was what I was thinking I should try so thank you for confirming that!...See MorePlease help! PPG Greiges (Warm Grays)
Comments (3)Exactly. We found a countertop that we loved that shared the same greige colour as some of the tiles on the existing backsplash... I would have loved to stay in the neutrals, but I'll have an open mind and look into sage greens as well. Thanks for the comment!...See MorePaint sample craziness- Gray, Beige, Greige?
Comments (20)Yes. We have a unit vacating on the 31st and I just paid for another 5 gallons of D of M. D of M belongs to the middle of the Yellow hue family. (see the Colorography) When some yellows (most yellows) get darker and grayer they looker greener. It's not always noticeable, however. It's more like there are moments of greeness not necessarily an inherent sense of greeness. Personally, like that edge of greeness because to me it reads fresh and clean. What all that means is classic color theories apply. Colors that go with yellow and green will go with D of M and colors that don't, won't. Drift of Mist Colorography....See MoreRelated Professionals
