Is there any possibility that they could do the cyberknife treatment on Alan? Our hospital in SC has it now & the head of radiology went out to CA. to learn how to operate the machine about a year ago. I don't know what hospitals have the cyberknife but it is radiation beams controlled by a robotic arm that target the tumor & zap it. There is no cutting of the skull & the procedure takes from 30-90 minutes. You can google 'cyberknife radiosurgery' & get more info on it. I had to have a CT scan & an MRI of my brain and also see a neurosurgeon before they would tell me that I was a candidate for it. Hopefully they can do it in the next 10 days or so. I am very hopeful that they will kill my brain mets. I will pray that Alan can come through this & continue to fight the battle & be a winner.

Like some of you,i'm always the one taking the pictures,so i don't have many of myself either. This one was 2 years old last week.I'm holding my new GGS Rain.He just turned 2 last week.Time sure does fly. Kathi

Let me slip in here to give you all a big hug and lots of thanks! You have no idea how wonderful and warm inside this post has made me! I read this thread last night, but didn't tell Jammer about it. This morning as he was leaving he told me that he would be there with me today - not physically, but mentally and emotionally. So as I was at the hospital today, waiting to have my Medi-port put in, I pictured Jammer and all of you KTers there in the room with me. Sure put a big smile on my face!!! Everything went well today. I am a little sore, but have no pain and I'm feeling fine. Thanks again!!
