Twilight

I had decided I wasn't going to read this book, not into romance novels. But, everyone keeps telling me how good it is how it's not like regular romance novels, so the other day a friend offered it to me to borrow. I started reading it Sunday, picked it back up yesterday and am nearly finished with it. It's addictive. LOL!

Now I have two other friends offering to let me borrow all the other books. I guess I'll have to read them now. I told Lauren she should read it, totally different from what I expected but she's not even interested. Both my kids were making fun of all the girls at both their schools, apparently, all the goth, emo, and preps are all talking about this book, ignoring their clicks. They wear Twilight clothes and carry Twilight backpacks. It's all too much for them.

I told them it's not any different than the big Harry Potter thing that they both were into, Laurens said that she wasn't obsessed with it like these girls are about Twilight. Funny thing is Lauren likes other vampire books and movies but not this because it's popular. Wonder where she gets that from-lol.

They both were making fun of the movie too. I know adult women who are obsessed with the series too. Have an old friend (and two of her kids) who read the books over and over, she sent me an e-mail this morning to tell me there is an on-line book now of Edward's version of Twilight. It's on the author's website if anyone is interested.

Have you read any of the books? I know some of you have, as it was discussed here before. Did anyone not like the first book?
