OK that was way weird!

I typed the start of the link as usual into chrome and then I started scrolling as usual.

I came across the time zone thread, but noted that my posts I'd made this am all were missing. I was like, huh???

So then I go to post a comment about my missing comments, post it and then I notice my user name is Danny Naugh!! Huh??? I look up at my profile, no blue monogram, and my name is Danny Naugh!!

So I deleted the comment, closed the window, opened a new window and tried again, and I'm back.

How weird is that???

Over the weekend I decided to look at the Design Dilemma page on Houzz. Thought I noticed some of the same posts there as on GW pages. Just looked again and see posts that I'm guessing were originated in GW are also appearing on DD. Or maybe it's the other way around. Post from GW Home Decorating. This is the Design Dilemma page. Both posts from GW appear. My guess is Houzz has kept the formatting of the GW site, but the posts are being feed over to Houzz. Time for another test. ETA: Posted on DD page and tagged Home Decorating. My thread does not show up on DD page, but rather in the GW Home Decorating Forum. Do you suppose they have coded it to look if we have GW member in our profile and therefore move it to GW? Spooky. ETA, again: found that it does appear in DD. So, here's what I think is happening: If you post in DD and tag a category (I.e., Home Decorating, Building a Home, Bathrooms), post will appear in DD and whatever category you tag that has a corresponding GW Forum, with the exception of Kitchens. Guess they heard loud and clear from Kitchens that these posts were not welcome. Beware other forums!

Looks like a nice bloom pippacovalent. I think I planted mine in 2014, I was very pleased with mine this spring, but most of my roses have done good so far. I hope you have great success with yours! I think overall the blooms on mine were the best they’ve ever been.

I have this rose too.... I have had it maybe 6 or more years.... I had it in the ground and it grew backwards.... thought it was going to die.... it was own root and I thought maybe the nematodes got to it... I dug it up and put it in a pot... the nematodes had NOT gotten to it.... it did somewhat better at least no dying.... but a 2 cane wonder.... I do love the color and the scent... but not a good grower for me. Zone 10 Palm Beach FLorida

why would he be reporting hitting a deer if he was uninjured, If he had hit it in WI, because reporting that you have hit a deer with a motor vehicle is required by law. Outside of the requirement of law, the rule of Good Sense applies: You report it so the animal can be euthanized if it is severely injured and suffering. Or removed from the roadway if it expired there & has become a traffic obstruction.

It does resemble an AI hallucination. Did you check your settings to see if something like that was turned on - either on your device or the browser?

FWIW, I tried search for 'Danny Augh' on the site, but there were zero results.

Huh - is the search tool case sensitive? Because I didn't capitalize my search keywords...

So yeah, turns out the capital letters make a difference when searching.

And now I'm wondering if this was a case of accidentally creating an alt. user profile?

It must be an old account you forgot about but why Houzz would select that one is beyond me. I noticed that your ideas and wish list on the profile were updated on 10/7/2024 so it's been around for at least that long. I would think that's when it was created. Can you access that profile?

How about those of us who out of the clear blue nowhere wake up to being a number-again-for no reason at all. I have had the same forum name for way over 25 years and am in my second permutation of numberieness. Last time it was like a brief cold. It cured itself but now I am not so sure. Nothing I can do seems to fix it. Getting some AI generated name seems par.

I checked it out and it looks like something I might have created given the associated email address, but I have no recollection of doing so or when I might have done it or why. Go figure.
