Previous owner's mail

Hi

I've been in this house for a while now and am starting to get more of the previous owner's mail. I suppose that whatever mail-forwarding deal he had with the post office is now expired.

What is one to do with this? I don't particularly feel like tracking him down - all I know is that he's still in this town but I'm not sure I want contact with him. Not a bad guy and the sale went well, but still...

Most of the mail is junk, but addressed to him. Some magazines, too. There are a few pieces that look important. I suppose I could mark those "return to sender" but I don't feel like doing this on a daily basis.

I'm assuming that the same thing is happening at MY previous house since my mail-forwarding is also expired. However, by now all the "important people" should have my new address.

In this case, I definitely do not want to contact the buyers of my house.

How do you deal with this?

C.
