Hi everybody!! First off, Gretchen ((((( )))))!! I am so sorry to hear of your loss! Sending good thoughts and prayers to you and your family. NHSuzanne, CONGRATS on your 10 lb loss! That is wonderful! Jen, I hope those headaches are history! Well, Ahem..... Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes! I woke up this morning early and right after my 2nd cup of coffee there was a knock at the door. A big box was on my doorstep! Thank you, thank you, thank you Jen!! The first thing i opened was the lovely card with pictures of Jen's BEAUTIFUL girls Tara and Erica. These two are real Cutie Pies! Everything came so beautifully wrapped. There is a real garden theme here...Everything in pastels: a multi colored pastel picture frame with a butterfly and flower pot. Next was a package of tea candles to go with the darling potpourri burner that is also pastel and bedecked with butterflies. Then 5 different scented wax potpourri discs for the burner, all shaped like little pies, all smelling good enough to eat; honeydew/melon,french vanilla, golden spiced pear,fruitberry/spiced pear and spiced pumpkin. last but not least is a little ceramic crock which matches everything else! Jen said that her girls helped pick out the gifts and I must say, Tara and Erica have excellent taste! Jen, I love everything! The frame awaits the "perfect picture" and sits on my desk. The potpourri burner is in use as I write this, I chose honeydew/melon for today. The little crock sits on my bedside table.I have yet to master my digital camera. I will TRY to post pics. Thank you soooo much. I am enjoying our emails, too. I went out for breakfast with friends, lunch with DD, got my nails done and am getting ready for a dinner out with a some friends. Another friend has invited me out for breakfast tomorrow and there will be a small party at Sunday school. DS has been away at camp for the week (HIS birthday was Wednesday)and we have a family party planned for NEXT weekend.lol! So, you see, I plan to celebrate ALL WEEK LONG!! Marci, you have outdone yourself with that marquee. I printed it out. Who knows when I might see my name in lights again? DeeMarie, Age? I'm old enough to know better but too young to resist!! Ha Ha!! Raeanne, That ornament WAS tacky, but lets not overlook it's practical aspect. You never know when you might need "one of those"! Still no word from BJ. I hope she is having a good trip and that we can hook up here. Thank you all so much, Love, Tikanas

Been, lately, walking at health club. First time I did, nice man was walking in the other lane, and was supposed to pass me, as the rule says, not to walk side by side. Instead, he struck up a conversation with me. How's the weather, do you come here often, etc. Then others were coming around, so he moved on. Then I went downstairs, to talk with personal trainer, and he came and stood by me, obviously ready to talk more, but he backed off when trainer took me to machines. Wah, haven't seen him since. BUT he DID say, in conversation, he had noticed me at water aerobics. What? lol We've been moved to lap lanes, for swim team, so he must have seen me, attempting to do laps after water class. Sigh! Good while it lasted.

That first one reminds me of my Uncle. His first wife died and he remarried. They got a divorce. He said it was religious difference. She worship money and he didn't have any. LOL Linda

Yesterday I was having a giant size PityParty! Didn't feel good at all; the bad cold rainy weather makes the old body hurt really bad. Had appoint with the eye doctor. I don't like to drive in the rain, but I went on anyhow. Yes, of course, they dilated my eyes! Had to wait another 20 minutes. Still drove home with headlights glaring! As I was eating my so-called dinner I was thinking about being old (and crotchety) and how old friends are dwindling away through death and inabilities, etc. Real bummer! Couple hours later I got a call from and old friend who asked if I would be home today. She and two other old friends are coming for an afternoon visit. That sure made me smile!! Sue

We are babysitting our 7 month old and 3 1/2 year old grandsons this weekend, and we are loving how sweet they are. But the challenge is some potty training is going on, so there are times we have to move fast!

Saw the ultrasound of my grandson to be and he was very ACTIVE - threw his hand up and wiggled his fingers like, "Look, Mamaw, I have all five!"

I smiled (and I had tears in my eyes, too.)

I was using the printer, and as always, soon as it comes on, Roxie (the smallest cat) jumps up to look at it.
Today she had her face right in where the paper comes out, and she jammed the sheet. It was stuck tight and all crumpled, and she was fixated on it.

I just touched her butt so I could get the sheet, and she jumped about a foot and off the desk. Too funny. Scared the beejeebers out of her.

A little girl about 18 months today at work. She had this cute little searsucker sundress on and cute little white sandals and was toddling along ahead of either Dad or Grandda. I said bye to her and Dad or Grandda asked her if she could say bye and all she did was toddle off all the fast. She was a girl on a mission. LOL Soooooo sweet.

My kids, of course.

Camryn just because she's always happy. She loves to be chased and it makes me smile.

Grant because he's adorable and funny. He was so excited to be at the pet store, and at Target munching on popcorn as we shopped, at Toys R Us trying out new bikes, swimming at our friends swim school and riding his bike to the park with daddy tonight. Seeing him so happy made me smile.

Watching one of our crazy squirrels that we call Loco Junior wrestling with a stick, jumping straight up in the air, then rolling around on the ground. That squirrel gives us many smiles and laughs. And I smile every day when the phone rings knowing it is our daughter calling.

Watching my baby duck swim for the first time in a big pan of water. He'd just had bowls, up to now....large but not big enough he could totally submerge himself.
