Nodakgal, our schools had Zero Period, starting at 6:30 am and two of my kids took classes then as upper classmen. They liked the Zero Period classes because they always knew who their teacher would be and because they wanted to take an extra class. At registration for classes, Period 1 through 6 classes did not indicate who the teacher would be, so for some classes they really liked avoiding a particular teacher or being assured they would be getting someone they really liked. The other kid had surf class at dawn. The rule was that as the sun was just starting to come up, their feet had to be on the water line at the beach. They surfed through zero and first periods, rushed home during 2nd period to shower and change and be at school by 3rd period. This son lettered in surf.

Went with the "Arizona" pattern from diypools.com, and love the pattern with the brick, which is a slightly deeper red, "Havana red" than the most popular brick, plantation red. You did an amazing job - I think most pool builders could learn a thing or two from what you have accomplished here. As someone who has plumbed hundreds of pools with similar configurations I just want to provide you with a little bit of insight into your underground plumbing chase. While it is clear that you took a ton of care to have a clean raceway to run the lines it, you made a few key errors that anyone looking to reproduce your results should avoid. In the areas where you have needed to raise one pipe over another you used double 45's to create a saddle. While this is the right choice from a system efficiency and friction loss standpoint, having underground 45's like that can be a problem. You will not be able to sufficiently compact under the saddle and as a result the top pipe will sink over time as the ground settles. Even a tiny movement of the pipe with rigid lines can cause a failure - and the 45 saddle is a weak point for a failure. As much as having back to back 90 fittings is bad, they are able to take the compression of ground movement better than an unsupported 45. Again, amazing job...just want to lend some experience. One more thing worth mentioning is that when you have a pipe penetration through the shell it can be a good idea to 90 down immediately. If the rigid pipe comes straight out, again it has to endure the force of the ground settling around it. By turning the pipe down with a 90 you do increase the friction losses in he system but relieve this leverage point which is a known failure point in swimming pool design. I have done a ton spa systems lately with waterway jets ( I prefer the standard poly jets over the poly storm). You can typically do 7-8 waterway jets on a VS pump through the filtration system. I would use a seperate 2hp pump if you want a total of 16 jets. This way you will have multiple levels of jets, especially if you tie the jets together. There is very little to gain by having a variable speed jet pump. Don't use minijets for calf jets, you will regret it later, you can always turn down the jets if they are too strong using their internal shutoff. I like to tie the jet lines in with the filtration lines because when running on a low circulation speed, speed for the heater, the jets are less likely to draw in air which cools off the water. If you are not using the jets, you really don't want air drawn into them. To make all this work, you will have to install a check valve in the spa return line, as well as the jet return line to prevent backwards water flow through the systems. I would also consider using the waterway channel drains if you have space they are good for 316 gpm @3.9fps It will be easier to install, and will look alot cleaner than 3 individual round grates. There are 3 2 1/2" suctions fittings on the bottom of them which would be perfect for your system.
