What's your budget for sprucing to sell? Rather than painting the cabinets, you could get new doors and veneer the frames - there are internet sources for the supplies that cost a lot less than the companies that sell that service, and it's not a difficult DIY project. Replacement framed shower doors can be gotten stock from HD pretty inexpensively. The tile being neutral is probably good for resale - I'd take that as the color pallette and make it look planned. What color is the counter top - looks like an ivory - that would work with beige neutrals, too. If you can change the cab doors and frame to a stained wood that blends and a beige/ivory neutral scheme, then you could use a couple of 'staging props' of green and have it looks like the planned 'spa naturals' trend. That would go well with the Green Tea MB, I think. I'd definitely change out the big mirrors - I still see them on Houzz from time to time, but to me they really look like the 80's without a frame. Cutting them down to allow you to frame them with picture moulding (stained to match cab's) on the sides and top is an inexpensive option, too, that could be made to look 'custom planned'. It's no harder to cut mirror than any other type of non-tempered glass, just remember to stop by a hobby shop first and pick up some fixative to spray on the mirrored back before cutting (this keeps the mirror finish from being damaged.) Decorative moulding to make the frames is also pretty inexpensive at HD and Lowes, and mitering for the corners is also pretty easy. Just a few ideas off the top - not exciting, I know...

When we remodeled our guest bath last spring, I was all into the counter cabinets. But after seeing the interiors of a few, I don't think they provide enough storage for the amount of counter space and budget they hog. I'd limit drawers--because of the drawer box construction and the drawer glides, there's not much space in them. You might consider an appliance garage instead of drawers. However, I mocked it up with boxes and found I couldn't even comfortably move my hairdryer in and out of the garage. Or use an open shelf cabinet if you're willing to store toiletries in decorative containers. Initially I worked with our custom kitchen designer, and he designed a 12" deep recessed cabinet that went 4" into the wall. It was less intrusive on the counter, and I had planned on using a mirrored front to the cabinet to minimize the bulk. I'll attach a photo from Houzz. You can increase vanity storage by adding a drawer at the bottom of the sink cabinets. They're not extremely deep but they can hold a layer of towels or TP. Since you've had stained wood for two decades, I'd do painted cabinets this time. Have you looked on Houzz for inspiration pics? Wall/ shower tile (large tile is also floor tile)

We are replacing the tile due to cracking and other issues. Updating both our bathrooms for resale in foreseeable future (empty nesters). Our hallway bath will be black and white basket weave on the floor and white subway in tub area. Very excited about this as our first house in 1988 had the original black and white and we have always loved that look. We had no idea it was "in" until we went tile shopping and of course Pinterest ha . We found these two hex patterns. The one on the left is standard hex. The one on the right is marble ( I assume it's real ??) The second one is clearly a nicer and thicker tile, but what about the marble? Is this the best of both worlds or still not right to go with the blue vintage tile? I am not crazy about the size of the tiles. Would go with penny tile as suggested by CP, but no go for hubby.
