I am above ground and my DD and I are going to visit my sister and take her out to lunch today. A great way to celebrate Family Day!

Well the first thing that comes to mind is I'm on this side of the grass. lol!!! And it's payday!

My DD is coming home for a visit, flying from NY,NY into Jacksonville, Fl. We will pick her up and drive 2 hours home to s ga. I am excited, we haven't seen her in a year.

I'm not taking a dirt nap. Wish I were home, though ;o(

This will mark the end of our busiest day of the year, hooray! I'm getting bone tired and burned out. Would rather be home playing in the dirt.

It's church night for us!

It is the beginning of my summer work hours!!! =) I will have Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons OFF!! =) =) I sure enjoy these for the couple of months that I get them!

I will be going to Ames (Sam's is first stop) this afternoon to get supplies for a pasta salad I am making for a friends DS's graduation reception this weekend. Need to do some 'stuff' shopping, and hoping to get a bunch of flowers for the yard! Oh, and PAINT! lol Then I have another Dr. appt for my foot...which is STILL hurting, I am almost to the point of this is the way life will be from here on out. :(

I woke up to a beautiful, sunny day.

I woke up....and put both feet on the floor.

It's not raining, plus I have a free day! Yippee!

Today is a blah day, nothing stands out as being good so far. I am alive? LOL

I got out to my garden first thing at 8AM to weed and hoe; got it done before it got too hot. It went up 10 degrees in an hour. It suppose to be in the 90's! Very unusual for us on the Coast.

I'm going to a fundraiser dinner tonight and will get to see my niece and my sister who live 90 miles from me! :0)

My jasmine outside my kitchen window is in full bloom and filling my house with it's fragrance.

I got some things finished and listed on Etsy and Woody's off playing bows and arrows somewhere so I'm home alone. It's so nice and quiet here!

After buying some hampers for disadvantaged at Christmas ...

... and cakes for coffee hour after church on Mother's Day, the ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) had enough in the coffee hour kitty to take us all out to the buffet for lunch today.

It used to be Senior Men's Coffee Hour (on Thursday mornings), but they changed the name to ROMEO (second childhood getting to them, I think).

I suggested the name, "ROMDO" (Retired Old Men Drinking Out ... which makes sense, as it's based on coffee, no?).

That idea went over like lead bricks.

Maybe due to the fact that, before church union just prior to my birth, that congregation was Methodist??

I finally bought a printer, I have been wanting one to print out pictures of the Grands.

It's my BIRTHDAY! Whoopee! I took the afternoon off and had my hair cut and colored and a pedicure too. The sun was shining when I got home, about 70 degrees, and I mowed the yard on my John Deere. I like to mow.

OH! And our house is on the market and somebody came and looked at it today! Also, today was my baby's last day of school. He graduates from high school on Sunday.

Harry and I had great fun watching the basement egress window being installed.

I'm alive and able to get out of bed...everything else is downhill after that!!

Hmmmmmmmmmm, Thursday we were in a hotel room because of a power outage in our area due to a terrible storm. The best thing was the fact that even though my son had damage to his home and property (large, beautiful trees down), they were spared any injury even though a tree fell on his home with them in it, and all around them as they were trying to escape. We were so thankful for that.
