More PhotoShop fun

Created this tonight and ordered it printed on a beveled edge plaque from Winkflash.

I used several free actions, one called Hayes Island Variant, and one called BW Conversion and Toning. I also used the Photocopy filter in PhotoShop to emphasize the edges. I had to do some cloning to get the reflection out of the mirror and to get the blue boxes out of there.

I love that you still get to see the tile on the wall behind her, and you can see a very faint reflection of the chandelier in the mirror. That is my "signature" blurred out in the corner there :-)

Wow that's awesome! I love playing around with photoshop and my own photos. Did you take this one yourself? It's a really neat picture. I never heard of Winkflash before.

Thanks! Yes, I took it in Ronda, Spain. I'm really excited to get to use the photo because it's the only decent photo I took of a flamenco dancer, but by itself, it's not that good of a photo. I think cropping it and playing with it made it much more interesting. I've had several posters printed by Winkflash, this will be my first plaque.

thank you so much,, YUCK i don't care for that at all. We are not doing the brick, we are using castle rock similar to the stone that sprice5105 used under her porch, but i still don't think i care for the red. Our roof is black/ gray// any other ideas. Our current home is a cactus green w/ white which i love. I will be using some accent color, in the gables but OH I DON"T KNOW NOW. What to do ? What is your favorite house color.

I think a walkway would really be great if you can swing it. I saw something online about installing pavers that didn't look too hard...but then I'm not a DIY gal either! ;c) I tried Hunter Green on your shutters but it kept looking too Christmasy...is classic black too close to what you had? I think it looks sharp. Or maybe just a dark charcoal gray. A Porch swing looks relaxing too! Remember, I'm not a landscape architect!!! I don't even know it these plants will work for you. Just trying to give you some ideas of colors and shapes. I took out the 3 square hedges on the right and put in a Clementis (maybe Oceanna will recognize it..LOL), some pretty pink flowers, spirea and a Japanese Maple. Lavender and more Spirea and pink flowers next to the porch. An Azealea over on the left.

Layer, new raster layer. Then use your paintbucket and fill the new layer with the color you want to use for the background. Drag your picture to the top in the materials pallette. The space will be filled with the color you chose. Good luck.

"One of the versions"? You mean an older version as opposed to the current version? Well, I use Photoshop a lot and it's my favorite, but I also use it in the work I do for a living. If you can't (or don't want to) buy Photoshop, then you might be better off going for a program like Paint Shop Pro. I am a little out of the loop as to what PSP will do vs. Photoshop Elements will do, but last I knew, PSP would do more. Elements is a sort of lite version of Photoshop, with many things either missing or disabled. There are fans for both pieces of software out there, though, which means you'd be able to find work-arounds to get everything you want to do, done. Have fun whatever you decide!

After I asked if you took it I thought I remembered you posting it before. It's a neat picture, but I agree that cropping and playing with it makes it much more "art" like.

I'm going to check out Winkflash for printing some of my photography since I plan one making a couple gallery walls showcasing my folks and my photography and a family photo wall too.
