Thanks, I have been looking into hostas for in front of the 2 windows. I also planted 2 hydrangea, and 2 hostas. Its a slow going thing. I drew this on my comp as an Idea, what do you think? Helps me visualize what I want to do with it. Thinking about the plants you suggested, and will be doing my research. Thanks you! I used paint on computer, and drew the dogwood trees over where I planted mine, so I am trying to visualize the garden matured. What would you change? The best kid book I've ever read is entitled "Skippyjon Jones" and its about a siamese cat who keeps pretending he is a chihuahua. Your photo reminded me of it with your Pablocito cavorting around the house in his food tub. Dafygardennut- Your daughters are beautiful (like their mom), they look a lot like you, especially the one on the left. Stevation- The photos on your site are incredible, what are you shooting with? What a handsome family! I'm still waiting (in vain) for a kiddo with my hubby's eyes. I tell him he has sold me a phony bill of goods and he has to make good on his "promises" but he knows my threats are empty. Two kiddos are enough he tries to tell me. Bonnie- You have a beautiful smile and I love your dimple. Digit- I love the curls, the hats, chubby baby legs, buckets of sunflowers and the quickness you removed the photos. Around here, you snooze or you lose! Aliceg8- Chance is adorable and lucky to have you snuggling him in that photo, does he hate the snow?

I normally lurk once in a great while but thought I'd chime in here. I agree with the others. I like the craftsman style door the best with your house and also think your door hardware and light fixtures are too ornante for craftsman style. We just got the occupancy permit on our house which is also craftsman-inspired. We used a fiberglass craftsman style door from ThermaTru (model CCA230). We plan to use the gel stain on it (once the weather is nicer) so that it looks like wood but it can be painted, too. The door is available without the dentil shelf or with one of two dentil options. You can also get different kinds of glass to go in the 3 windows or keep the plain. The door is my second favorite part of our house and I highly recommend it. It would look great with your house. You can Google the model number and manufacture to find pictures of it. For the lights, we used a very simple jelly jar light by the door and double bullet-style lights for the sitting area of the porch, both with a black finish. I would have loved to use more square craftsman style lights for those areas but we were on a tight budget and figured they'd be easy to change later if we wanted. For the door hardware, we went with a simple lever style with a rectangle backplate and a separate deadbolt, all in a matte black finish.
