Is that a narrow sidewalk that goes to the left on your picture? If so, maybe a wider path. How about a nice tree in your front yard. I am NOT a lanscaper and don't know my plants but maybe if you post your zone or area of the country, someone with more expertise can help with specific plant names. I definitely think color would be nice. back later....

Okay Thanks! Anytime know hurry. I do have 2 samll trees in the front you just cant see in the picture. Its 2acres. We had some Bradford Pears but a storm a couple of years ago got them :( And we just have stepping stones down, coming over from the driveway. Just havent wanted to spend the money on that. Mostly come in the back door.

I think a walkway would really be great if you can swing it. I saw something online about installing pavers that didn't look too hard...but then I'm not a DIY gal either! ;c) I tried Hunter Green on your shutters but it kept looking too Christmasy...is classic black too close to what you had? I think it looks sharp. Or maybe just a dark charcoal gray. A Porch swing looks relaxing too!

Remember, I'm not a landscape architect!!! I don't even know it these plants will work for you. Just trying to give you some ideas of colors and shapes.

I took out the 3 square hedges on the right and put in a Clementis (maybe Oceanna will recognize it..LOL), some pretty pink flowers, spirea and a Japanese Maple. Lavender and more Spirea and pink flowers next to the porch. An Azealea over on the left.

Lindy, that looks great- very classic (love the charcoal shutters) and the walkway makes it. I think I see a real Clematis in her close up...Good call.

Any more ideas?? DH on vacation this next week might talk him into doing a little painting..lol

Try SW Wrought Iron Gate for your shutters, its a charcoal gray color. I am assuming the front door is staying as it is, right? I would not paint it. I like the painted front porch bench, I was going to suggest a railing on the front porch to give it some detail. The front walk way definately adds curb appeal.

gk5040-Thanks for you paint color I will check on that. Yeah front door stays same. Its a nice door, was here when we bought it. Someone had ask what the door looked like so I posted it for them. I had the door opened when I took the pic. I think that is a swing she painted on the porch but a good idea about a bench too. I think I would like to keep the porch more opened to make it look bigger not closed in...Does that make sense? LOL
