I miss having a cat. We had one for years, but the kids and I proved allergic to it, especially me and the youngest, so that was our last cat. Hope he finds a nice home.

check for no kill shelters some of them are not no kill and that would be a sad end.
I have a family of kitties that came to my back yard from the forest behind us, the momma cat brought the babies to get water out of a water bucket in the yard. I saw them and started putting out food, they are now pretty much grown and still come and eat and hang out but are wild. I love to watch them.

Bengal cats have a natural bobbed tail I think? My sister had one years ago. They cost big bucks. Can't for the life of me remember what his name was, but he was a nice one! Her's had some beautiful markings.

It's probably a Manx, they are more common that bengals and not as expensive. I think if someone paid the price for a bengal, they would not let it out.

Manx cats have the bobtail. (Bengals too, but as was said they are more rare)

We've had two Manx cats over the years, and they had the friendliest personalities of all.

I get so upset that some people let their kitties outside. Especially cats that are front declawed. Cats get lost, killed by cars or dogs or picked up by hawks. Glenda, don't you want to keep this one as company for you? When you travel, you can just have a neighbor come in and check every couple of days to make sure kitty has enough food and water.

Being as a notice has been up at our mail box station for a week now and no one has come forward,it probably wandered into our complex from neighboring housing community.

Glenda, keep the kitty. It wants and deserves a good home. It loves you already.

I'm just waiting for a kitty to come along and "claim" me. I put my beloved cat Whisper to sleep last summer and DH doesn't want another. I still miss her. Glenda, I think you should try feeding this little one, put food closer and closer to your door, until she trusts you enough to come inside and/or let you touch her. Cats are the best companions, the least trouble. At least they all know to use a litterbox.

Glenda is there anyone you know who has a cat carrier? It would be a good idea to to have her scanned at a vet in case she is micro-chipped. Depending on your towns regulations-but most shelters now micro-chip pets. 'Found' ads are free in our newspaper. Another option is a 'Found' ad on craigslist. Shelters are filled to the brim with animals due to the economy and foreclosures. I have to agree on what easy upkeep a cat is for someone who likes to travel! I know you have mentioned several times your Dobie you once had. Have you ever considered getting another pet?

The kitty will take care of those nasty centipedes...and you'll never have to deal with them again!! My first cat found me about 20 years ago, and I can't imagine not having one now. I was strictly a dog person at the time. I have four. The first one has been gone for several years now, but we have another that also showed up in the backyard. And the one we adopted to keep the first one company. Then the two my husband brought home from work as 3 week old kittens. They can be as loving as dogs - just on their terms. I've trained them to all sit up and beg for treats.

Sat out on porch this afternoon with two gals chatting, and no kitty.

Maybe it found a HOME, hopefully!
