The first thing I would check out is changing the lightbulbs in the room.

I should clarify, by lighting I meant "natural light". This is a west facing room with large windows so lots of natural light. It's in the daylight that I'm seeing pink--haven't seen it with just lamp lighting yet. Thank you though for the suggestion.:)

Is it too late to return it? I think you should be talking to Macy's about this. It's a shame that you have a new piece of furniture that you are so unhappy with. I wouldn't hesitate to let them know you are not about to re-paint your room to accomodate this sofa color, & you want an exchange or refund. I've returned large items (such as two 9x13 Persian rugs at the same time & a sofa) because they just didn't work in my house. I was also past the allotted return-by date. Remember, this is a buyer's market...for everything. Stores want your future business so they'll usually work with you.

Are they white canvas? Canvas often has a slightly pinkish undertone, and the green wall color is probably enhancing it. (Red and green are complements,,,pink and sagey or putty green would be as well.)

If you really like the sofa it may be easier to repaint.

Not every color appeals to everyone. If pink is not your color I'd return it...."OR" ask for a new slipcover. That couch is gonna be pink until you get rid of it. Exhaust THAT avenue....returning or replacing, before you start painting...

Yes, the green in your wall color is amplifying the pink-ness.
I think the only solution, if you don't return it, is to work your scheme around it. You could choose a rather cool gray-beige like Restoration Hardware's Graphite, which is very deep, or Stone, which has a very subtle pinky quality as well, for your walls, and a clear warm white for trim, like B. Moore's Atrium White. But that's a lot of carrying on to make up for something you really don't like.

Your eyes see paint colors as relative to the surrounding colors, not as absolute colors based on the wavelength of the reflected light. In the company of a green background, any pink undertones will be emphasized.

The only way to get rid of the pinky-beige in the slipcover is to get rid of the greenish-beige wall color that is accentuating the pink.

Funcolors in the paint forum helped me to get the exact color I needed, I used the color and it's perfect so maybe you could ask her.

Please post a photo! I have an off white sofa, with BM Decatur Buff a gold/tan color with a green undertone, and my sofa doesn't look pink to me.

Thanks everyone! I don't want to send the sofa back--I really like it but am just thrown off with this color thing. What I am hoping for is that by changing the wall color, it will change how the sofa looks??? I just am not sure how to go about this--by picking a beige with a pink tone, does that make it look more pink? Do you have to pick something with a different tone to make it look different? Also, the fabric isn't canvas but twill--but I do think sort of that same color someone mentioned about canvas. Another thing, I don't mind painting so that part isn't too big of a deal, just a bummer that I just painted and really liked the color but still, I'm OK with repainting--just really need to get the right color!:)By the way, tried to take pictures but just can't get it to look the same (I don't have a GReat camera!).

Here's a suggestion for making your choice.

Go to the paint store and get a couple of chips of the whites with subtle undertones of pink. Hold them against the wall colors you are considering, and look at what the combination does...is the pink intensified or neutralized? Does it look intentional and lovely, or off key? Be sure to hold the chips vertically (always look at samples in the plane in which they will be used), and in your own light, and against the sofa itself. Then you will know what to do.
