Fellow Quilters

Believe it or not, it is that time again. We had our first meeting today for our Breast Cancer Quilt Auction and we are now collecting blocks, quilt tops and quilts.

Minot Air Force Base, in conjunction with the Minot Prairie Quilt Guild is sponsoring a Quilt Auction again this year during the month of October in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Last year (2007) we had just over 40 quilted pieces and raised over $9000. It is our hope to do at least that again this year.

Here are the details: Pink or red/white/blue. If you do a block, the design can be absolutely anything but the finished size of the block needs to be 12 1/2-inches unfinished. We will also graciously accept quilt tops and of coure completed quilts.

We will be accepting donations until the end of July, so there is plenty of time for you to create a block or a top. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact me a dlheald@srt.com with a subject line of BREAST CANCER QUILTS and I will be happy to answer any and all questions you may have.

Looking forward to receiving blocks and tops from all the ladies that have donated in the past and all that would like to donate this year.
