About me: When I lived in Kalamazoo, I had beautiful gardens-roses especially, but also iris, peonies, poppies, wildflowers, hosta, black berries. When I moved to Texas, it all went away to the horrible clay soil, heat, which I can't take, and bugs that I couldn't seem to defeat. Our land is an old cotten field and prone to cotton root rot, so many shrubs die after a year or so. I have iris and daylillies that grow inspitel of neglect. Now I am trying oriental lilies.

My zone is: 8a TX
