Tami_OH, Merle and Linda_IA (and Caryn) were all here for supper tonight! AND...it is Linda's birthday tomorrow..so we celebrated that tonight too!

Moni, If I'm making something for someone else, or taking an online course, it's easy to keep busy with crafts, etc. Otherwise, have to push myself to find something to do. Was physically active all my life -- then this ol' bod decided to do an internal Dorial Gray. Ha (And one of those important life questions comes to mind: Why is gray sometimes spelled grey??) Was swimming 3 times a week when my first 'attack' of vertigo occurred. Couldn't lift my head to even reach the phone a few inches away. Scary. Unfortunately with Agoraphobia, once you get frightened, you tend to avoid that thing that you figure was the offending trigger. So, mixing a deteriorating body with straight-from-h___ mental processing really puts a crimp in 'living the good life.' Being able to once again drive will help considerably. It's good that you have a passion and that you're able to bike. And I'd dearly love seeing your 'jungle' in person, but the pics will have to suffice. Thanks for sharing. Kat Granlan, Amarillo! Patti, I'm glad you like your VA hospital. Sorry to hear Harry is having to go back for more work. We see a lot of our patients over and over again, so much so that they become like family. I hope you got your phone call today and don't have to wait longer to hear from them. Lisa Fl, what kind of focus group did you do? Thanks, Lindie, my throat is feeling much better. Poor Lauren came home this afternoon sounding like a man. Her and Sola were in here watching one of the Narnia movies, and she sneezed a dozen times in a row. She thought the Zicam would be gross so she's suffering. Marilyn Sue, I love tomato soup, especially tomato bisque. If we're out eating and they have it on the menu, I will sometimes get it. I did last Friday when Alex and I went out. He wanted Seafood so we went to the Rigatta. Their tomato bisque was horrible, though...all I could taste was pepper. Nanny98, too cold for me. I'm glad we had a mild Winter. It's still been cold, just not as cold as usual and very little snow here in KY. I did not clean my house. I feel like a bum. All I did was laundry, dishes and sat on my butt at this computer all day playing Mahjong.

Thirty was happy for me. We were able to adopt our DS after six years of marriage and surgery that left me unable to conceive. This year has been an uneasy one because my mother died at this age -- in October. It was an awful year for her, slowing dying of leukemia, and for me as her only child. DH had mixed feelings when he reached the age at which his father had died of a heart attack. Because DH had never been told he was adopted, and because all of his father's brothers also died of strokes, he'd been allowed to assume he would have the same fate. (Another example of his adoptive mother's nature.) Now DH has lived 25 years longer than his father did. And ding-dong-the-witch-is-dead.

Hi - I am Renee, a transplanted Northerner now living in Central Florida. I first moved here after 9/11 and didn't think I would stay but I love it now - except for the hurricanes. I am 48 and single, have a wonderful BF and live with four kitties - Jack (orange and white tabby), Ernie (fat brown tabby), Lola (brown Maine Coon) and Kaci (black and white Maine Coon mix). I have recently taken up two fun hobbies. The first is raising Monarch butterflies. I just had another girl yesterday morning. I am mesmerized by the whole process. The second is geocaching. My love of rooting through thrift stores and garage sales makes me a natural at this form of treasure hunting.

Sandy really surprised me with that cake. I had offered to bring dessert and Sandy said she had that covered.
Lori, Caryn and I tried to get Merle and Tami to take us along to visit you but they said we had to buy gas.

We had a great time. Happy Birthday, Linda! We are sneaking in for a few minutes at a rest area. I think it's neat that Iowa has free internet at the rest areas. Thanks again, for dinner, Sandy.

As for them stowing away in the bathroom, as it was in use after we left them, and there isnt' much room in the shower, I don't think that would have worked! they would have had to be pretty up close and personal to even stand in the shower to stow away! And boy, did we catch heck for leaving the RV in DH's cousin's driveway, and just taking the truck up to Sandy's! They wanted to drive it! Or at leasst get their pic taken looking like it! And Dean took the picture.
