Leslie, Terilyn, and Zipper, I will be emailing you for phone #'s and addresses! We plan on traveling as much as possible around DH working.

Mickey, You can see it right after we bring it home if you want to come over! Otherwise you will have to wait until July at Norwalk. So if you want to see it sooner, you know what you have to do!

I don't know what the mileage on it will be, but we have the same engine in the truck we drove to Sandy & Dean's. It gets anywhere between 8 and 17, depending who and how it's driven! I have gotten 17, but no one likes to be behind me on my startups. If I keep the tach at or below 2000 rpms during shift changes I can do it! towing, it gets between 8 & 11. If DH just drives it back and forth to work, like he used to before we bought the focus, he would get 12-14.

And of course I will be bringing my yarn for a sock hop! Surprisingly, I don't have a pair on needles right now, but that will change as soon as I finish a small blanket and hat for charity.

We are currently undergoing a home remodel but you are welcome to stop by in a month or two. Southern California is on your itinerary, right?

Brenda LOLLOLOLOLOLOL! Just how young do you think we are? I see the beautitian tomorrow! I really do want an answer to the question, please. I could use a boost today. Went for a chiropractic adjustment and feel great but wiped out. Might be because we spent all weekend with the motor home and I learned how to use my new smoker yesterday and had company for dinner!

Now that I look at the picture again, I don't think that thing will make the turn off of the dirt road and into our driveway without some road work and a whole bunch of tree trimming. I'll call the county, and you bring a chainsaw. LOL!

Tami, Its so shinny and new, how wonderful.

You are going to love it. It's nice to travel with your own home when you visit people. Main Man's DS has a 7,000 sq ft house, but we still stay in our Motorhome when we visit.

My Motorhome is 36' long, but there is still space in back of it. I have a very long driveway. Under oak trees, so you will get some bird poop though.

The bluebonnets bloom around Easter and it is a pretty drive in this area.

Tami, I know you prolly already know this but I thought I'd tell you I saw some really really cute tacky lights for your awning at Cabela's ;0)

They had bears, moose's (meeses?), lanterns - the little red ones ;0), and a few more that I can't remember. Anyhow they weren't bad price wise either. The dishes to match some of this stuff however, were kinda pricey ;0)

Where we used to live we had the longest driveway in the county, but since we moved here we have a short dinky one.

Wowser! I'm not sure it would fit in our driveway, Tami, or be able to turn around IF you did get down it, but there's a nice campground about 5 miles away on the river, and another near the lake.

You are so lucky, you'll have a ball traveling around in that beauty!

Watch out for low hanging tree limbs and drive-in awnings. And what ever you do don't forget to pull in your steps and real in your TV Antenna. LOL!

Very costly accidents here. Trust me. I'm on my 3rd set of Steps at $500.00 a pop. Mine are suppose to automatically go up when the door is closed. But, it doesn't always work.

Buy disposable rubber gloves to keep in the hull for the dumpstation.

What a gorgeous rig! You are welcome here in Virginia. We have a driveway that's 650 feet long, and our place is completely surrounded by trees--so there's total privacy.

I'm a couple of miles from the freeway between Detroit and Toronto or Buffalo ... and I have a long lane and a whole big yard in which you can park. Well, I guess you can't really park in the long lane ... but there's the yard.

Plus power hook-up, if you wish.

Can't offer water, as the well is too close to what used to be the barnyard ... I haul all of the water that I use for drinking and cooking (sometimes if it's to boil for a while, I cheat, though).

When I was young we lived for a few years on a farm where the only water was run-off from the roof into a cistern, and in Korea we boiled all of the water that we used for drinking and cooking.

Or I could travel to Windsor, where Dances and cherryfizzy live, and I have some cousins.

There's a KTer down just this side of Buffalo, also.

Unfortunately we live in a cul d'sac with a very short driveway but you know we have beautiful campgrounds in the area. Swing on by and we'll hit the redwoods.

If I don't already have your emails, I will email you thru here one or two at a time, so I don't get in trouble! We are really itching to get going now. DH says now the big decisions begin. Do we go camping or does he go to work to pay for camping!!!!!!

DH and I want to hit the road too but I can't retire until May 1, 2010 (not that I'm counting). We want a 5th wheel. I'd like to get a gently used 2 year old model so someone else can take the depreciation. We plan to sell the house and full-time. Will you be full-timing?

Linda, DH retired from one job and walked into another last July. So for a while, we won't be full timing it. We'll see how well we like being away from home/family for long periods first. We thought about a used unit. Neither of us had a problem with that. The problem was getting rid of the truck and 30' camping trailer we already have. Well, I guess we wouldn't have had a lot of trouble getting rid of the truck, just the trailer! But the truck pulls the camper so well, and we are only using it for that. DH bought a Focus to drive the 50 mile round trip to work to save on gas. So we wanted to get rid of them both. We went to the RV show last year and almost bought this exact unit, but we weren't sure what he would be working, if at all. There was a possibility that he would not have a job. They gave him a good incentive to retire, plus being able to walk right into another job, doing exactly the same thing, in the same place...... Anyway, not knowing, we decided not to. It was still available this year, and of course the price on the 2008 models is higher. If we had purchased used, it would need to have been thru a dealer, just so we could trade in the old.

We are trying to figure out what we need to do about bills, ect., if we go for extended times. We have friends that went full time a year ago, so will call them for some ideas, and mariend said she would be happy to help with any questions, as they had just stopped going.

Wow, Tami, that is a beautiful home away from home! I think I could do that full time and hope to give it a go some day.

My FIL bought a huge (36') 5th wheel from someone in Arkansas. He went down to pick it up and drove it back home to Montana. By the time he got home the top was ripped off and the AC unit gone and there wasn't one side that wasn't bashed in. lol!!! He never used it. Sold it to the repair yard. Be careful out there!

We sure do! We are looking at possibly a new one also not the driving kind like you have but another 5th wheel wish I could remember the name but it is made rugged and NO CARPET which since ours is mostly a bachelor pad for Brian when he is off working would be great...no wood it was all like alum. stuff...I loved it.....course the new one we want is a 40 ft. one and 50 thou. so probably won't happen but it would be heaven!!! Stacy, You know you and Brian will get lots of use out of it, and it will be sooooo much easier to clean. Try dividing the price by how much use it will get and the price won't seem so high! Yours will probably get more use than ours.

Nice rig. You both look so happy. We will be in Thermopolis, Wyoming (south of Cody) the end of May to volunteer at the Wyoming Dinosaur Museum for another 5 or 6 weeks. Would love to see you if you are in that area. The museum is very interesting. We will be in our rig also.
