No but I have SlimFast twice a day. It has to be very cold. Is it powder added to milk or water. You could get the syrups that kids (read that my DH and I) add to milk, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla. Can't find the coffee here in FL.

Isopure Dutch Chocolate (available at GNC) is very good and is very low in sugar and can be mixed with water (rather than milk).

Im suppose to drink this 10 days before surgery 3xs a day plus snacks.thats it..

One way is to whirl it in the blender with ice instead of water or half water half ice. Did the Dr. say you mix anything with it? If so in the blender add some banana, or a few berries, Yoghurt & or peanut butter if allowed. they are not bad whirled in the blender.

Have you been able to talk to a dietician about this? With your protein, electrolyte and water restrictions, I think it would be your best bet.
You can freeze them and then slush them up in a blender and that might help them be more palatable.

Oh my gosh Im gonna hurl!!!!!!!!!I tried everything,Well as far as freezing,I can use almond,a few other flavorings,
oh my its bad,I can have 5 strawberries,pineapple,brussel sprouts,broccoli,a few others,2 cups for whole day.So you dont want to grind them up.I gag and gag,then afterwards I feel bad.

I'm sorry you are having such a rough time with this. I would probably starve since I hate drinking thick liquids of any kind.

I hope you are mentally prepared for your post op diet. You will be eating this way for quite a while after.

They told us of ways to get protein after surgery so I wont have to drink this stuff, like laughing cow cheese 1 slice has enough protein for 1 day,I like that.First 2 weeks you just get liquids,next 2 you can add dairy,at 5 weeks you can eat barbeque type.But then too you wont be hungry,this stuff here is gross its to make your liver plyable so they can move it to operate.

Well yesterday instead of just gagging I threw it all up,Im on isopure now its grape tasting better.Im sooo hungry I could eat a whole cow,My lunch today is broccoli,pineapple slice,cant go over 2 cups a day.

OOOh, I feel so bad for you. I'm on fluid restriction forever for kidney failure, allowed only 50 ounces of water a day, and that includes my coffe and drinks with meals,etc. It's hard, especially in the summer, when I love a big glass of lemonade or iced tea. But having to choke down unpalatable protein drinks seems inhuman! Dink, talk to a nutritionist. They usually have good advice. If (s)he says you gotta, you gotta!

I love the Yogurt Smoothies maybe you could divi it up with a scoop of Vanilla Protein.
