We're finally home!

Nearly 12 hours later! It was a 2 1/2 hour drive one way. But, we got everything and won't have to make a second trip. It was HARD, but not "unbearable" as I thought it was going to be. AND, as fate would have it, as we were unlocking the door when we got home, the phone was ringing. It was the State Trooper. We will be meeting with him tomorrow at 6:30 pm. He will give us the accident report, and says any questions we have, he's there to answer. We stopped at the crash site again, THAT about did me in, knowing the very spot your child took her last breath. Anyway, I want to thank EVERYONE for the thoughts and prayers, TRUST ME, they helped. Thank you! Thank you!

Hi you.. I don't use the FE and Neem at once..If I have a severe break out, that is if, I use just the Neem and treat all my plants at night or early am, out from the sun.. I use the FE as a preventative which so far has worked wonders for me.. I had to use the Neem on plants I forgot to spray with FE all summer, and use it on plants that got attacked by someone else's plants infested at work.. Use them separately, Neem only with an infestation you can not get rid of, and the FE as a general spray for a preventative, although I know some that use FE and to smother the sucking insects that will not handle the oils.I spray in the am, even when the sun on them with the FE, and my plants never burn..I suppose the oil on Neem is much mr potent and stronger... Now in relation to your plants, I would spray them all with Neem only. Put a 1/2 teaspoon of soap, dish washing unless you have natural, and shake it well...Spray the underneath and tops of leaves. Spray the whole trunk, branches and pots.. If Rhizzo sees this thread, she may have a bit more to add.. DO NOT SPRAY this Neen oil during the hot part of the day, Tonight is good, and so is the am..I wish you had coco wet..I put this in everything to help improver sticking and wetting of anything I ned to stay on the leaves.. After a few days, start spraying down your plants at least once a week with FE.. Let us know what you do and take pictures, ok..:-) Mike

No! Before we left town DH gave them most of the substantial completion payment, but there is still a chunk remaining. And then we have a much bigger chunk in hold back that they'll get 30 days after substantial completion. This is a fire restoration project with an insurance settlement and a mortgage company in the middle, so we don't even have all the money in hand.

marg143- totally happy to share. I've become an LED geek ... it's all DIY... I've found that the standard "enclosures" are pretty limiting. However, the Ikea kits are a great way to start. That's what I did about 2.5 years ago and have since "graduated" to DIY to gain flexibility (and save $). If you want to go DIY and aren't afraid of splicing low voltage wires, then I highly recommend Amazon... Color changing lights under the island - SMD5050 RGB lights on a 12v48w transformer with a color changing remote. This kit is 5M/16ft : http://amzn.com/B00K5N8F68 I put the LED strips into a 10mm light bar (eliminates dots/ hot-spots) from Environmental LEDS: http://www.environmentallights.com/14176-led-strip-light-bar-10.html Note that the light bar enclosure costs 2x what the LED, power, and remote cost !!! For above and below the cabinets, I'm really persnickety about color temperature - I wanted to be able to adjust and get the "right" warmth (to match the overhead lights and change it if I wanted to) ... that required using a new combo warm/cool LED strip: http://amzn.com/B00IXXWX06 and a warm/cool remote: http://amzn.com/B00IS71H9U and a transformer (I needed 150w): http://amzn.com/B00HQ0PKCK plus the same light channels from Environmental Lighting above.

Thanks everyone. We have had a few problems since I last posted. When DH was cleaning the bathroom floor we discovered that the floor boards near the toilet were rotted. We are getting estimates on this because our attorney feels that the previous home owner knew about it but did not disclose the information. Luckily the boards under the tub are okay. We are also having the kitchen and bedroom rewired because if we want the fans on we have to have the lights on as well. We did get our washer & dryer hooked up and just finished our first load of clothes. It is nice not having to go to the laundry mat anymore. I dropped some film off today to be developed. I asked the lady if she would check to see if my Kodak 110 film can be put on a CD. If it can I can post photos for everyone. Waiting to hear if I got the part time job I applied for too. If I get it I will only be 3 blocks from work. So far things are going smoothly. Just a couple of minor gliches to get past and we can finally feel "at home". SamKaren your resident DJ

I'm so glad you won't have to make a 2nd trip! I'm sure you are relieved to have this now behind you, and it's a blessing that, even though it was very hard, it wasn't unbearable for you. I pray the State Trooper visit will also not be unbearable.

I think of you often during the day, and pray for your continued healing and strength.

Same here, jamie! Glad you are home safe, glad you don't have to go back, glad it wasn't too bad...but you got a ways to go yet and my prayers and thoughts will continue to be with you and her other loved ones in the meantime....nola anne

I will continue praying for all of you. I remember how hard it was for my brother and I to go get my mother's things from the nursing home. It is never easy..
