Dinner this evening?

Yesterday I made a big pot of ham and beans. Our weather cooled off--it was 39 this morning--but this may be the last pot of the season. They always taste better the second day.

I am making chicken salad for sandwiches. I will just have mine with crackers.

I have been gone most of the afternoon at Terri's house doing up somethings so she would not have to deal with when she gets to come home from being with Bill. Cheryl had the hardest of the work to get done. I did some laundry and brought some laundry home. By the time I got home it was past my supper time, so I just had smoked sausage and a glass of chocolate milk. All your meals sound good. Sue

Georgysmom, I love everything about basil--the smell, the taste, the look of the plant. Your shrimp pasta sounds delish--make plenty, because it'll probably be good tomorrow, too :-) (If not, send it down!!) Glenda, if my clothes smelled like BBQ, I'd probably eat them--haha! Everytime you go to Miss Myra's, I get a huge craving for that salad, even though I've never tasted it. Reminds me of mullet spread. Sue, you are working way too hard, girl! Enjoy your evening--resting, I hope. Mary, good news about your eye, bad news about the rain. Your DH is a lucky man!! You cook just for him. Shirley, I love Stouffer's stuff, but they do have a lot of sodium. I think they also make Lean Cuisine??? Maybe those contain less. I really like their noodle dishes and swore I'd never make lasagna again after having theirs.

LOL Angela.......looking forward to an avocado!! Rhizo, I wish I lived closer, I'd crash your dinner. Now you made me want kabobs! Raven, I love a good sub.Haven't had a sub in a long time. Kittie, we love hamburger patties and broccoli. We need a potato though. OF, steak and strawberry pie. You eat well. Marilyn, tacos are so good. Now you made me want them, too. Glad I could help with your watermelon craving. :) Shirley, I always, always want ham, potatoes and green beans. I keep looking for ham on sale but it hasn't been in a dog's age. We went out with our Wine and Dine group last night....delicious crab cake and filet dinner. You could cut the filet with a butter knife. I saved half for dinner tonight. DH doesn't want dinner until Christmas day. I'm sure he'll find something here to eat but wants to lose weight. Not the way to do it but since I won't have to cook, who am I to argue. I made DH a turkey meatloaf and I had pizza. Nothing fancy as usual.

Pan-grilled a couple of chicken breasts and served it over a salad. The rest of the asparagus on the side.

I had chicken livers and their bestest carrot salad.

DD came for dinner, so I planned the menu around some of her favorites.

We had: tossed salad, baked potatoes topped with chicken bbq, cheddar cheese and french-fried onions, applesauce and bread pudding.

And of course, there are no leftovers--they (and 2 rolls of toilet paper) went home with DD--LOL

My husband fried up some steaks, with bbq beans and potatoes. Don't know what the heck happened to the steaks, but they were so tough I couldn't eat them. I ate a few beans and 1/2 a potato. I'm hungry. Feed me. Please?

LOL, Sue! Lots of good dinners last night. Glenda, I read a book by Fannie Flagg (I think) about the Whistlestop Cafe. It's been a long time ago so I don't remember it much.
