Has anyone used mesh deer fencing
Comments (7)Hi dk, Yes, the grey net fencing works well for me. I, too, have many (65 to be exact) new shrubs and trees and I like deer. However, the deer do not write out the checks for the new plants nor do they get a back ache from planting them. Rather than draping the netting, I tied it to stakes and arbors with garden twine that I had in the garage. This way no leaves or branches are touched and by encircling the plants, the netting actually went farther. Also, just before the snow, I really saturated everything with Deer Off which lasts for several months. Any day the temp reaches 40 degrees, Deer Off or the newer version, Deer Away,(smaller chile and garlic sediment and no clogging) can be sprayed. A neighbor about 5 acres away is now feeding the neighborhood deer 50 pounds of deer food per night, so I have no guilt and no nibbled shrubs. Keep protecting the shrubs, the deer population in New England is not dwindling. Kindly, Jane in CT...See MoreHas anyone bought from Carolinachair.com?
Comments (3)All of the things you say about them are true. However, the sectional sofa I bought from them is very uncomfortable. The seat cushions are thin and rock-hard. When I complained, their only solution was for me to spend MORE money on replacement cushions. They did give me some free fabric to use in new cushions I could bet made locally, but this all ended up costing a ridiculous amount of money. I could have bought a better sofa for half the price at Pottery Barn....See MoreHas anyone bought silk curtains from Linens N Things?
Comments (14)I have silk panels from L&T but haven't put them up yet so I can't tell you how satisfied I am, though I certainly expect to be. I did want to give you a heads up on how to save even more money, though. When I bought my panels they had two promotions that overlapped - the 25% off sale, plus they had any size panel for the lowest size price. So I bought my 84" panels for the price of 64", plus the 25" store promo, plus the 20% off coupon! I figured out I saved about 60%. It was just a fluke that I walked in the store when they were running two promotions, but maybe a friendly salesperson there can tell you what kind of sales are on the horizon... Comments (17)OK> So, I'm reading this post due to a recent experience with the plumber my GC is using for our renovation. I got a babysitter to watch my toddler so I could go look at fixtures at their showroom with my baby. So, I get there and they don't have many of the nicer brands on display- they want to show me everything in a catalog!! Well, thank you but I can do that at home. So, fine- I briefly look at the catalog and pick a few things to get prices. They gave me some pricing and I left. So- wouldn't you want to see products in person if you plan to invest nearly $2000 on them?? I dragged my two small children to another local plumbing outfit to see the higher end stuff I got quoted for at the previous place. The prices were more than $500 different!!! I mean to do I have stupid written on my head b/c I have a newborn? Do they just think I don't have time to research and will just take their price?? This mother has an MBA thank you very much. Fine. So I talked to my contractor and he said to approach them on the issue. I did. They claim their product is better quality and that you can get the same things from other dealers but they aren't as heavy... blah blah blah. That may be true for some Kohler fixtures, but not Rohl!!! And I don't even believe them at that. For the amount of money saved I can buy a whole new fixture in a few years if I decide to change it or it goes bad!! Can someone please tell me if these people are just jerking around with me?? I thought about how they may try to pad the rest of the bill if they adjust the fixture prices, so I'm not really sure what to do with this mess. This is why I do NOT trust vendors like this- b/c of dishonest people who try to make excuses for their ridiculous prices....See Moreloto1953
