Looks much nicer the new way...good job

The bed placement is a huge improvement. I'm not crazy about the mirror over the bed -- I would rather see artwork over a bed than a mirror, but that may be just me. One thing though -- what's with the tray with the stuffed bears on it?

I think the new arrangement is much better. I agree with Sarschlos about the mirror. Maybe it could work above the dresser?

I like your new arrangement much better! Beautiful mirror, but agree that a lovely painting or framed print might work better. Oh, and as for the bears? You go, girl! I've got my old teddy, "Myrtle", and DH's teddy (whom he so cleverly called "Teddy") displayed in our bedroom and I don't care who likes them or not. I luvs 'em. :-)

Thanks. I like it better too. It did seem to take up more space in the corner. I may move that mirror to another wall, it, just seems soooo high up to me.

Looks good! You didn't like the sconces at all or just the style? How about putting them right above the headboard (one on each side) where the headboard dips down. They would serve as good reading lights plus the headboard would cover the cords. Then place the nice lamp next to the slider in the corner with a table. I like the mirror but I think it will look better with the sconces. I think you need either a bigger print or the mirror where the slider is, or maybe another one or two small paintings. How about a round/oval mirror above the dresser.

Sorry, I was posting and running so that was more brusk than intended. I totally get the wedding bears themselves, but why are they stuffed in that tray, instead of sitting on the dresser, chair or propped amongst the pillows where they can be more comfy, IYKWIM?

If you're going to use the tray on the bed, would rather it was decorated more to look breakfast-in-beddy. Better yet, what about the tray on that very manly looking dresser with some silver-type men's toilette type items (comb, containers, etc.?

I just didn't like the lamps, they reminded me too much of a motel room. I will have to finsh acessorizing. I just moved this last week and have been busy at work.

I wasn't offended by the post. I just stuck them in it and have not removed them , due, to so much other stuff going on. Using the tray on the dresser is a good idea. I will spruce things up when I get a chance. I am still debating on moving that mirror. Maybe I could put it on the wall where the glider is.

Well I like the room, but my first thought was that obviously no man lived in there. It sounds like one does?

I think the bears would be very comfy on the chair (I have my son's teddy on our bed so I'm not against teddy's) or on the bed with the pillows. But I'd like to see some more masculine touches if he does indeed visit the abode? The wall lamps actually gave that bit of "man" to the room...it really does scream "Woman" a bit too loudly for me...

My thoughts...can you move the round table over next to the glider? Is that a TV monitor? I'd think it would work out better across the room.

I'd put the mirror over the dresser, and hubby's picture next to the bed. Is there a beefier table to place the lamp on? It seems a bit skimpy, but I love the lamp.

Everything is very lacy to me...which is why I read too much girl in here ;) Is it possible to perhaps change out the shades on the fan light to something simpler, maybe a mica type look? (If you know what that is???) And how about a trunk or something heavy and boyish :) On one side of the bed instead of the skirted table?

Dark trim (fringe or braid) on the drapes would help.

And a larger photo, but no flowers...something ummm (looking around...) shapes or a train or ummm dogs playing poker) (I have to confess I love the dogs playing poker one but I'm unusual).

And then toss some dirty skivvies around..that should do it :oP

Two larger suade type fabric pillows on the bed would help as well. Not as much as the skivvies, but probably preferable :oP

Love it. Don't love the mirror there, though. I'd like to see something like this or a good dog print there, maybe flanked by a couple of candle sconces. I'd pick something rather dark and definitely classical looking, with a rather heavy ornate frame in a bronze.

I liked the bed in the corner, but can see why it wasn't working for you. Looks good now. Love that bedspread. The dark throw and table cover seem out of place to me; too dark. Sorry if I gave comments on things you didn't ask for comments on.

Ok nix the undies and go with dogs or horse LOL (I just couldn't think when I was trying to come up with something heh heh)

igloo, you are so funny!!! LOL I do have a picture of an old man smoking a pipe that is quite large. I may try that. I can use the mirror in another room. I think it would be too high up to put it above the dresser. What about above the chair?

I'm dissenting. ;-) I don't see this room as overtly feminine at all. I don't see any lace in here -- just sumptuous fabric that works well for a guy or a gal, and quite nicely for you both as a couple. How does your DH feel about the style of the room?

I think the mirror needs to go in another room. It reads very front entry/dining room/living room to me. I also did not read your room as being too feminine. And I like the look of the flowers (although we ban flowers in our br because of allergies). The cushions on your rocker don't work as well with the other sumptuous fabric. Any chance you could make or buy some slip covers?

auntjen, DH doesn't care one way or the other. He is pretty laid back.
Oh I forgot to mention to igloo that I have already changed the ceiling fan. I will take a pic.

sars, yeah I did recover the rocker when it was in another room, but, I know it's not working here. I will have to get some new fabric. I am still debating on where to move the mirror....

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but I think a small, pretty accent rug would look nice on your beautiful floors.
