I think you're all very right! It does look VERY familiar in this young stage, since I already have a 'Parhelion' and do recall the similarity! I think I have a pic. of it as a 'baby'!! Yep--that's it!! Well--I love 'Parhelion' so having two will be great, especially with one in the back and now one in the front bed!! Kellyeng, I doubt you'd want to post a photo, but I would love to see your back piece when it's finished. It sounds absolutely gorgeous, and I love the symbolism and meanings attached thereto. Twelve total hours in the chair ... Now that's commitment! Dedtired, I too have considered a tat from a children's book. Mine would be something from "The Tall Book of Make Believe" which was published in the early 1950s. I spent many hours as a child fascinated by the illustrations (I had my Mom's copy that she had loved as a young girl) - wonderful artwork like this: Boop, I love your idea! What a wonderfully meaningful piece that would be for you. Of course, whether you decide on color is your personal choice. Aside from the lettering in my Grannie's handwriting (which I did get inked last night), all of my work is in color, with the exception of the black and gray Anasaszi pottery sherd on my lower right leg. I really like color myself! As for the pain factor - well, I've got ink on both legs, my shoulderblade, and now on my wrist extending up my inner arm. It all hurt, but none of it was unbearable. And I figure I can endure anything for a short period of time, if in the end I get what I want. :-)

My DH and I both dislike tattoos and clearly don't understand why anyone would want to mess up the body God intended for you to have. One of our ex-employees has tats. When we hired him he only had a few and we told him he had to keep them covered at all times and body piercings gone. One day during the summer he had to crawl up in the attic of a customers home to pull wire through for some light fixtures. Here in Fl, during the summer the attic can reach 120 or more degrees. He took off his shirt because it was so hot and when he was coming out of the attic, the homeowner, a woman, screamed. She didn't know who or WHAT it was coming out of her attic. Police were called, employee was showing his ID, even though she met him when he first showed up. My husband was summoned to the customers home. Employees tatts were of skull bones and other scarry stuff all over his chest, back and arms! He had gotten more since we hired him. He did quit eventually but we knew then that we couldn't send him into any more customer homes to work. That was quite a few years ago and since then ex-employee has ran into DH and told him that he's trying to get rid of all tattoos because no one wants to hire him looking like a freak. He also let the piercings close up. He told DH that he wishes he never got them that he was too young when he got his first one.

Thank you so much everyone!! A tattoo on the big toe! I think that that would hurt 80 million times more than these did! It wasn't that brave Terri. It only took maybe 20 minutes to a half hour. And a lot of wincing. LOL Stacy, do you like shopping for shoes? My foot is a nine and WIDE so I hate shoe shopping. I only go when absolutely necessary. Blech. :) I haven't named them Flamey, BUT the girls have claimed one each. Claire insists on the littlest one even though she's not my littlest girl. But that's okay. :) So Kim does it hurt less on say the back or leg because I was thinking that there was NO WAY that I could sit for hours of that. It was ouchie. :D Thanks again everyone!
