Well I tried to operate activator manually but did nothing like no power. So first thing I need to find out why that is not working. I did this a couple weeks ago and everything worked ok as I didn't find any leaks. I have setup a cooling mode so I could operate solar at night to cool off pool if needed. It's works by reversing power via relay to activator by the 2nd speed connection. I could add freeze protection on this feature to flow water to solar panels. Side not the water temp sensor is bad so reading 165f or so. Didn't think that could be a problem but the tech in me says fix the most obvious first.

Did you program this thing yourself? Do you really only have 6k in water? Are you certain your programs are taking with a push of the ENTER button? If you program a feature, it will account for the higher flow and indeed, shut off the pump earlier than the programmed operating window. (15 hrs. in your case) Upon that happening, the pump should read POWER SAVE. If you are seeing a pump with a 15 hr window run the full 15 with a programmed FEATURE, I'm guessing your FEATURE is not ENABLED. Proper programming involves not only programming the FEATURE, but ENABLING it. Also, if using FEATURE 3, you will need to modify the times of FEATURES 4-9 so they do not overlap with FEATURE 3. Otherwise, FEATURE 3 may not be working as you believe you have it programmed if it is less gpm than 4-9 which are defaulted much higher. IntelliFlo chooses the highest flow programmed. Even if they are DISABLED, you cannot set a time for a lesser FEATURE without changing the upper ones first. Pentair is supposed to be working on this major installation hassle. Go through from 9 on down to 3 and set each one for 5 minutes beginning at about midnight and work down in time. DISABLE 4-9 and make sure 3 is ENABLED. What is the purpose of your FEATURE 3 for 4 hours at 20 gpm? You state the sweep is running at 50gpm but not for how long. How long is the 45gpm solar? SWG only needs about 12-15gpm. By the way, most sweeps run fine at 25-33gpm and with a 6k pool, you only need an hour or so. Something does not make sense with your numbers.

This feature was already programmed and working on the pool then i10+3D board failed and was replaced under warranty and reprogramming was not completed before the electrician ended up out sick, so I am looking for advice on how to set the spa button to toggle the spillover valve. 3. The User Guide says: Up to twelve (12) IntelliBrite light circuits can be displayed on the main Lights screen. From the Lights screen you can activate the IntelliBrite lighting features (i.e., color swim, color set). Assuming each IntelliBrite light has its own relay and separate circuit. The IntelliBrite LED (light-emitting diode) underwater light system provides brilliant vivid colors with spectacular effects for your pool, spa and landscape lighting features. Each of the energy efficient IntelliBrite colored LED arrays can be individually controlled to custom create any color sequence of the rainbow spectrum. Unfortunately this, from what I can tell you can not control each light seperately. When I am just using the spa is seems stupid to have to turn on 4 pool lights also to pick a mode and then turn them off. It also seems nuts that I can not set each light to its own color. I think Pentair screwed this one up and lumped "color swim" setup with the color set and show screens. 4. I guess after paying lots of money for something called "Intelli" I expected it to have some reasonable smarts. I suppose I thought wrong. 5. "The full load amps should be observed on the rating plate, otherwise you will be replacing motors frequently." I disagree with this statement. "Full Load Amps" on the label simply specifies what the current draw is when the motor is loaded to the labeled horse power. Pumps are designed to load the motor to the service factor HP and not the labeled HP. "Service Factor Amps" or sometimes labeled as "Max Amps" is the current draw when the motor is loaded to the service factor HP. On the WFE-3, the "Full Load Amps" is specified as 5.6a@230v OR 6.0a@208v which is around 1250 Watts. This motor actually draws 1700 watts in this pump application so you can see that the label is simply a reference and not what the motor will draw in a pump application. 'There is a peak efficiency point with all pumps, they used to publish this. " There are several types of efficiency when discussing pumps. First there is the electrical efficiency of the motor. This can be expressed as the ratio of the shaft HP to the electrical input HP. The WFE-3 has a published electrical efficiency of 68.7%. The total efficiency of the pump is related to the how much energy is delivered to the water (pumping HP) compared to the amount of energy input to the motor (input HP). This is expressed as Total Pump Efficiency = Pumping HP / Input HP Pumping HP = Head * GPM / 3960 Input HP = Input Kw * 1.341 Total Pump Efficiency = Head * GPM / 3960 / (Input Kw * 1.341) This is dependent upon the head curve operating point and has peak efficiency slightly to the right of the middle of the head curve. This point is typically referenced as the "Best Efficiency Point" or BEP and where the pumping efficiency is maximized. However in swimming pool applications, it is desireablye to have the highest GPM for least amount of Watts. So this is why the California Energy Commission has chosen to use GPM/Watt as the primary metric of rating pump efficiency instead of BEP. From an energy use perspective, GPM/Watt is more important than BEP. I agree that the motor will use more energy and run hotter the further to the right on the head curve and you really don't want to operate all the way to the right. However, the pump is designed to work in the region of the published head curve without a significant reduction in pump life. So as long as you stay within the head curve, the pump should be fine.
