We did groceries this morning. We picked up some blueberries on sale as hubby is going to eat more of them, due to his potential prostate problems.

When we got back I made blueberry muffins, and my cookies that we love. A also took a lasagna out of the freezer cooked it alongside a pork roast and baked potatoes.

The lasagna is for later in the week.
So dinner tonite was pork roast, twice-baked potatoes with cheddar and broccoli inside it, and broccoli as the vegetable. I'm having a cookie now with my tea. I don't care for blueberry muffins, so they are for hubby.

Keeping it simple tonight. We'll have corn flake crusted roast chicken with baked potatoes and corn. Have a pot roast with potatoes and carrots in the cast iron right now. We'll have that for dinner tomorrow and the left overs for a hash later on this week.

Awful awful awful service at Longhorn's, today, with 3 other gals from church.

We waited 45 minutes on salads, even had the manager to our table twice regarding service.

Then had to ask for bills, twice, even ask the manager, who didn't not bring the bill. We finally stood up like we were going to leave and the waitress brought two bills, had to go back for some reason, and bring the other two bills.
Manager never came back with the bills after asking HIM.

Awful service, and they weren't that busy, no one standing waiting to be served.

I'm sending a complaint to the website.

I am baking a turkey breast right now and will have a salad to go with it.

Jasdip, you've had a busy day, too. You sure got a lot of cooking/baking done. Your twice-baked potatoes sound best to me.

Everyone's dinner sounds so good. We're just having blackened cat fish with a tossed salad. DH and I are trying to take off some pounds.

Patti, you sure got a lot done today. Making me feel guilty. Think I'll go throw in a load of wash to ease my conscience.

Bengardening, oooh turkey breast sounds so good. We're going to Sam's next week. I'll have to look for one. I can almost smell it!

Georgysmom, forget it--most days you do the work of three people. I just need to keep it up! Good luck with the weight loss. Don't know how long I'd last on salads.

Worked outside in the gardens all day, so dinner was a easy one. My husband had westerns & I had a ham sandwich. We should not have so many flower beds & it would make life a lot easier. patti I put the recipe you wanted on here. Sounds hard but it is not.

I meant everyone but you, Glenda, but I didn't want to single you out. Your experience was bad enough. LOL

I'm on my second load of wash, Patti. See what an inspiration you are.

I am making a stir fry, I got some bitter melon and found a recipe for it stir fried. I will cook it separately from the rest in case it's terrible. It has been in my diabetes magazines, reports from medical studies and an article by one of the doctors about some really awesome results of lowering blood sugar levels. Definitely worth trying it. Plus I love stir fry.

Mary, I just answered your post--thanks again. It doesn't seem too hard--just a lot of ingredients, but cakes usually go together pretty quickly. I know those flowers are a lot of work, but I imagine your yard is beautiful. It's just those darned weeds!

Raven, I googled it and all I can say is "good luck". The description of looking warty and tasting like bitter cucumber was enough to send me away. They do sell it in capsule form, though.

caved into being lazy, and bought a costco chicken pot pie...as good as it was, the salt was aweful! we use it so rarely anymore...won't do it again..

.patti, unless you like boneless turkey breast, think the only time sam's has the 'good ones' is at thanksgiving...our store in mi then gets fresh jenny-o brand...(to me the best)

well Patti my report goes something like this YUCK YUCK YUCK! Every thing was good but it, man it's bitter. I bought the tea bags of bitter melon tea, it's not nearly as bad. I do plan on getting the pills, seems the easiest method.

It was chicken sandwiches and french fries. I know, not very gourmet but I had the craving. I'm making calzones tonight... I'm all alone in the world until Friday.. HELP!!!!

Susan, we have the same problem with things being to salty unless I make it myself. That can be a problem unless a person wants to cook every single day of their life. I do like Marie Callender's pot pie though.

Raven, LOL! The description I read made me wonder why anyone decided to make it an edible food in the first place.

OnAHolliday, do you see any gourmet's around here?? We just like to eat and talk about it :-) Doesn't matter what it is. We sure ain't the gourmet channel, though! So feel free to share every night if you want. But, that said, I have gotten some wonderful recipes from posting this. So stay tuned!
