Foyer paint color help

I'm hoping I can get some advice on a BM beige/tan color for my entry foyer, stair way and upstairs hallway. I had Stonehouse picked out, but recently saw this at my SIL's house and I noticed beige undertones. I saw someone's foyer on here that used Baby Turtle whihc looks great. I'm just concerned it might be too dark for my enclosed stair case.

I want a color that will look great with white time and hardwood flooring.

Any ideas??

From what I've seen here, Baby Turtle is a muddy green (though very appealing!) I'm not sure that I'd describe it as a beige/tan. I'll keep track of whatever responses you get here, as I'm also looking for a beige/tan...

I'm drawn, for the moment, to BM Bennington Gray (not gray at all, actually!) I'm looking for a "sign" of some sort that this will be the right one - I can't possibly bring home any more sample pots, my DH will really lose it, lol!

Hope you'll find a color that is just right for your space!

Yes, Baby Turtle is definitely green, but I do like how it looks. I really think a true beige/ tan is more what I had in mind though. I just can't seem to find one without strong undertones.

jencox - I can't answer your question and most postings here are more technical in nature. Try reposting on the Home Decoration forum. Some talented poster there will assist, I'm sure. A photo might help too. BTW, I understand the DH not wanting to trim the doors again. Mine hates trim but I don't mind doing it so long as he does the rolling. Between us we make one competent painter! In our home I used colors from the same SW card in the Entry, LR, DR stairway and halls to avoid day/night color conflicts like you are experiencing. Wife and I are looking into repainting the interior of our house. You'll see the paint test zones on the wall scattered around. Our house was painted by the previous owners. I just recently finished staining the cabinets and rebuilding the kitchen island. (Mind the mess in the photos!) Anyway Here's the photos. Looking to repaint the entire Foyer. I was considering painting the inside of the front door Red to match the outside... Still not sure. As for colors for the Kitchen/Living area we were looking for something more neutral in the house. The only requirements my wife has is no yellow (apparently its a couples fighting color) and that we don't paint the fireplace wall something that will wash into our white fireplace (unless we can get a recommendation for that too). Foyer is normal white builder paint Foyer front door wall is currently a warm orange color Kitchenette is a warm orange color Kitchen is Cream Family room is Cream Family room main wall is barn red

When it comes to transition areas, it's often a good idea to go with a neutral as they are more versatile. Transitional areas like entryway/hallways can have SO many colours going off of them, and choosing a 'colour' for this area, can limit you in other rooms. I was going to suggest White Dove. Another option is Benjamin Moore Cloud White. Chantilly Lace OC-65 Here is a sample of these three popular colors with their shades.

When I was at my hairdresser's he had just painted his walls a lovely beige/tan colour...he told me it was a SICO paint from Rona called Mochaccino...went to Rona...SICO guy just happened to be there...no such colour...he told me it was an old CIL colour...anyway they looked it up on their computer and printed out the colorants info for me...I went to my Benjamin Moore store and they confirmed it was an old CIL colour but with the colourant info I had they matched it for me, and made up a sample can.(teachbls I know what you mean about brining home more sample pots!!!)...I had planned on putting it in my bedroom, but have decided on BM Golden Straw instead, but I love the Mochaccino, so now will have that in my hallway!

I have SW Bagel in my living room, and it has no undertones at all. It's a medium beige. I have white bead board below the Bagel. The wood floor comes soon. It's a nice combination of colors, IMO.

Excuse the accessorizing, everything is boxed up except for what you see! lol
