What else do you have going on in this room, as far as draperies, any art work, a carpet, chair cushions, your furniture? Also, what style do you like; country, traditional, contemporary? Also, if you care to, you can post over on the "Discussions" side and get more input. (You can post pictures there as well when you are asking for help, in fact, you will probably get more responses!)

caminnc - i was looking at 1068 (squire hill buff)but it was a little too dark. my painter lightened it up with some white and it's better. I'm just afraid it looks a little too orange or pink. I'm trying to find a nice beige color with a little gold in it without getting too orange. Someone mentioned bone white which I have in a bedroom and I really like. I was just looking for a little more color than that.

Keep in mind that the color will look different if it is sampled on a painted wall. You should be able to mix colors and have it color matched--although depending on the skill of the salesperson, the match may not be perfect. We have done colors at 50%--I think that also depends on the salesperson as to how they do it. For us, we had SW softer tan mixed at 50% and it was just lighter than the original shade. I had sooooo many paint samples up--I did large portions of the wall in the samples--but having the samples side by side and doing them on top of our existing yellow walls really affected how the color looked and made it hard to judge how the end result would look. I ended up picking my favorite and painting as much of the wall as the sample allowed to get the best idea of how it would look. The svelte sage and grassland were definitely way too gray in my house. If you do a search, there have been other posts on greens--I know it was helpful when I was trying pick a green. I think I even had a thread and someone suggested a nice Behr color or maybe a lowe's color--it didn't work in my space as I needed to coordinate it with a tan adjoining wall--but it was nice--I just can't remember the color.

Really appreciate your responses. My wife is not liking the dark gray. She feels depressing. So looking for shade little lighter, neutral and which will also compliment Wooden Cabinets, Gray tiles, and Beige Carpet. I like the SW Rainwashed. Are you suggesting to lower the TV or keep it in TV table in that corner? Currently have Sectional in living room. Planning to replace it with sofa and Loveseat across it in place of Chair. As the living room is not square, finding it difficult to decide on furniture arrangement. I have attached floor plan for living room with fireplace on wall. really appreciate if you have any suggestions on what kind of furniture would look good and how it should be arranged? I do not like heavy furniture though.
