Bethenny Frankel's Asian Shrimp Salad. First time making it so I hope it's a keeper.

Dental visit for cleaning, and while Crepe Myrtle's is just around the corner, I stopped for my favorite sandwich there, a meat loaf sandwich with basil mayo on rye.

It's been cold and so rainy here in Ohio today. I made homemade vegetable soup to have in the refrigerator for lunches. Had ham, potatoes and green beans for my meal.

Would you believe...Costco chicken! We had some other things to purchase there, so I am relieved of having to cook anything tonight.

Hubby had solid foods today for the first time, (post surgery). He was craving tuna salad and crackers (saltines).
We've been eating jello and he's been having chicken bouillon today.

I had a fish filet and some of microwaved sweet potato.

We are having spaghetti with garlic bread....

I made a giant meatloaf stuffed with fresh mushrooms, sweet onion, cheese crumbles, and fresh garden tomatoes. It looks fantastic. I have fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and avocado for a salad.

Everyone's meals sound good! Ellen, let us know how that shrimp salad was.

Just leftovers for me, but earlier today I made lunch for my daughter-in-law and me: cream of broccoli soup and yeast rolls made with cottage cheese, onion, dill, and horseradish. The roll recipe was a little off--not nearly enough flour, and not enough baking time. But the flavor was good. I found the recipe in a Maryland regional cookbook.

I had another very full day. Alyssa just went home so for me it was a hot dog with no bun, fried potatoes, baked beans and coleslaw.

It looks like rain but did not rain here today yet.

Went out to dinner last night with my "Birthday Group" We celebrated two birthdays last night at a Chinese restaurant. I had left one shrimp stir fry tonight. It was just as good tonight if not better. Thanks for starting the thread Angela.

Reporting back as per Alisande's request. I liked the salad but my husband did not. He thought there was a bitterness to it, I didn't think so. Anyway, I only keep new recipes if we both like them.
The salad had napa cabbage, sugar snap peas, scallions, grated carrots and baby spinach. Dressing was sesame oil, olive oil, shredded ginger, diced garlic and soy sauce. Toasted almond are tossed in as well.
On a bright note, the cooked shrimp I bought were excellent, though expensive!

We went all out for Robert's birthday! Boiled a couple of lobsters, twice baked potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts, and angel biscuits. Everything turned out great! There's enough lobster left over for something tasty tomorrow.

I didn't boil them as long as suggested and I'm glad. And the claws were easy to get into with the kitchen shears.

Tonight was the annual meeting for the hunt club, followed by a potluck, with lots of food. Fried chicken, pork tenderloin, curried lamb, roast peppers and asparagus, spinach and sausage lasagna, sauteed kale, cous cous, mac and cheese, spinach salad, and the dish I made: roast sweet potatoes, plantains and onions.

Plus cookies, cake and brownies.
