Window treatment for large semi circle window

We are thinking about replacing the current windows in our entry way with a large 'semi-circle' window. This part of the house gets a lot of summer sun, from morning until early afternoon, and requires some sort of cover (we currently have HD pleated shades, but my installer says HD only makes them up to 60 inches). The window is over 100 inches wide and it is up pretty high (bottom of window will be over 8 ft. off ground), so having some sort of mechanism to open and close window treatment is essential, preferably one that operates by remote. Has anyone done this? Do you have pictures that you would be willing to share?

I don't have one, I have TWO of them. I ordered through Adjustaview window treatments. They custom fit them to your window and they are moveable with long cords. There is no automatic option. They are not cheap though. Two windos was nearly $4,000.

IMO the darker drape does not work with the sofa. As for snarkey I will say that to have blinds to keep out the sun is the worst choice I like to be able to see out of my windows so I choose solar shades to control light and heat they also give you day time privacy and then I add drapes for nightime privacy . As for what to se for drapes I would need to see the whole space and no matter what you choose make sure they are the proper length

apple_pie_order, not really. I never raise them, but do open them to get some light. Yes, they are heavy, but not balsa wood, plastic, so that probably makes matters worse. If I do go with wood blinds, I would change that out for whatever goes on the other two windows. I had just put in pjs Tati on shutters at our old house before we moved and loved them. I just don’t think they’d work on the big windows, with the ‘seam’ where they meet would be the middle of a pane. Maybe wood blinds with some nice fabric panels on the side?

Because you mentioned that drapery will interfere with the baseboard heater (AND because drapery shortened to end above with the heater will look like "high water pants"), I recommend inside mounted roller shades or blinds (one in each of the three upper windows), leaving the lower windows bare.
