I didn't check out the chain stores this year except when someone asked if Midas touch was available. I saw only Granadas at Lowe's some were huge and that rose own root from Chamblee's didnÂt do anything for me although every other rose from this company did well so far; but the weather of last year was awful in every sense so that might contribute to the subzero performance of that rose. Still, I just could not bring myself to buy any of those huge Granadas because I remembered all those roses I had to discard due to RMV. I think I have one bagged rose purchased 10 years ago that has become a stellar performer; two that are OK and I kept two cl. Peace with RMV because DH loves that rose. The others were discarded. I agree with Ann, and with my various ailments plus DH's growing resentments of digging up, discarding and replacing roses, I rather buy a multiflora grafted rose or an own root if the source is good enough than experiment with bagged roses. I do get excited if I see some interesting varieties but then memories of roses from 11, 10 or 9 years ago come alive and I walk away. Trospero is right - the rose itself is usually the least amount one spends on the roses: fertilizers, fungicides, labor (yes, your own) etc. add up. Considering how greedy Paul Neyron is, I somehow doubt that it would do well in a pot. It needs very fertile soil, a lot of water and fertilizer and all that given, it does rebloom even in summer heat for me. Paul Neyron is among those rare HPs that like heat. I love that rose and I hope you got a very good specimen.

You can take the battery out and take it to your local auto parts store like autozone (if you do note how the cables are hooked up). They will usually charge it and load test it for free. As bill said the battery is probably dead dud. But, you still need to clean the battery terminals at both ends and try to charge it it you have a charger, if not take it and have it tested. If you stored it inside (garage or shed) they minimal start up maintenance will probably get her going. If it was sitting out in the rain then you may have you work cut out for you.

(Nor, alas, were new drywall in the livingroom and halls, the gorgeous walnut top on my used cabinet island, the matching gorgeous top that will soon be on the new media cabinet and the near full gut of the bathroom.) And we're still determined to get through remodeling our ugly duckling without taking out a loan or dipping into savings. Conventional wisdom says: Wait until the coffers are full again but that's so hard to do. First off, I'm a cheapskate. Even if the goose who laid the golden egg waddled up onto my deck and built a nest, I'm not sure I would willingly pay someone to mess up the walls I just paid to fix. Second, I'm not quite cheap enough. My new kitchen is starting to look pretty good but, gosh, it would look so much better if the microwave and coffee maker didn't take up so much room on that one counter. I'm willing to spend a little bit more to change that, especially since I'm going to have a piece of countertop leftover that should be just the right size. Still, it's nice to know that it's possible. Maybe when the coffers ARE full again I'll put a tile counter outside on my deck to shade the golden goose should she happen to wander by ;) Thanks for your help!

Sorry if I am coming off harsh, and I realize I don't speak for everyone here, their opinion might be a little more forgiving than mine. But as someone who's been put through the same hell by my piece of sh*t ex-wife that you are putting your husband though, I feel extremely entitled to offer my opinion, since you asked for opinions. I too was a "good honest man" (still am...lol!) who did not deserve it. I was always completely faithful to her. I worked my butt off getting a software business off the ground so my ex could be a stay-at-home for our two kids, which is what we both wanted from the start. And instead of being appreciated for working long days and weekends, then coming home and being a good dad and working on the house and all that, she eventually winds up resenting me for not being around enough and winds up having an affair with someone...which I didn't find out about for 9 months. When I found out, I said I understood (to a point) why she did this and wanted to fix our issues, and resolved to change some things make our marriage better. She said she wanted this too....but her heart was never really in it. Three years later she did it again....this time I told her I was done and we are now amicably divorced (on the surface anyway) and sharing custody or our two kids 50/50. I say "on the surface" because when I think of what she did to me, not only the affairs, but to string me along for years...knowing she wanted out but not having the courage to act like an adult end our marriage the right way before shopping for her next man, my blood freaking boils. I can't explain it, but I feel like I lived years of my life now in some giant lie...I was happy and thought things were pretty good. Good people DO NOT treat people like this. She completely disregarded me as a person, and did what was best for her, with NO regards for my feelings. I didn't matter at all....my pain was just "collateral damage" to her in getting what she wanted. To this day (5 yrs later), while I deal with her respectfully on a daily basis regarding the kids, deep down I wish nothing but bad things for her. The scars of being treated like this, by someone that you loved and treated with nothing but respect for 10+ years, do not heal easily. I suspect they never will. I (half) jokingly tell my friends that I just hope she dies before me so that I can take a big sh*t on her grave, as my final revenge. Well, now you know how your "good honest man" of a husband will feel about you when he finds out. And I hope your daughters do turn on you...you f*cking deserve it.
