Now I can describe the color I need, but still can't find it !

I have only a couple of days left to find the perfect color for the two rooms (LR/DR), staircase and the 2nd floor hallway. Pressure is up!

No other color has ever given me so much trouble. After many sample cans I know what I am looking for but still can't find it in the store.

I am looking for a light color that could be called an "earth tone" but still be bright enough for this area which has little natural light even on a bright sunny day. Sort of like between light honey and a green tea. I like BM sample in Monroe Bisque but it is way too dark. The lighter colors I tried all look either too yellow or too green. Another problem is they look sort of dirty and I need it to look clean and reflect the little light that is available.

Any idea what I should try? I read a couple of posts about Tobaco Road by SW, should I try it?

I'm a huge Tobacco Road fan and I used it in my kitchen/hearth room. In the other areas, living room, dining room, entry I used a color that is one down from it on the color strip called Plantation Beige. It's a little crisper and brighter and good in areas that don't receive as much natural light. Not sure if it's what you're looking for or not, so here's a pic of my entry in Plantation Beige for reference. It's a Duron color too but I'm sure SW can mix it.

For comparison, Tobacco Road is the color painted across the top of this paint brocure and Plantation Beige is the color on the bottom right. Good luck in your choices!

I agree with mimi. Plantation Beige would be very nice. Another one that is very similar is SW Believable Buff. I think either of these would work

De, unfortunately that weeping Japanese maple came w/o a cultivar name. I have 'Inaba Shidare' in my backyard which turns almost as red for a short time before it drops its leaves for the year. I'm sure others in your region could give you some ideas for brilliant red fall color. In my area, I have a few trees and shrubs with nice crimson foliage: Itea virginica 'Henry's Garnet' shrub turns maroon then red during the fall and holds on to its leaves until December. Ads rotate, so that if you go back to a page thinking you're going to see the same ad you saw a few minutes ago, it might have changed. If you have an idea what page the ad was on, you could try refreshing. It may take quite a few tries before the ad comes back up.

When I am alone in the afternoon I make a cup of instant coffee. I mixed the coffee in a mug and apparently put the container of instant coffee in the micro. When I came inside about 4-5 mins later I had the most awful smell of something burning. When I figured it was the micro I couldn't even recognize what was melted in there. I cleaned up the mess and scrubbed forever with windex, vinegar and baking soda. It was improved but still smelled when I used it for about a week. It is completely gone now. I also left the door open for a few hours.

BM Richmond Grey/Flowering Herbs? (same color) It's a very mutable color so don't judge it until you've had a painted-out sample up for at least 24 hours.

You could also ask the BM store to mix the monroe bisque at 50% or 75%. That way you get the same shade, just lightened up.

Please try SW Ramie---I just put it in my living room and I LOVE it!!! It is a creamy tan with lots of gold and a green undertone. It looks fabulous with sea greens and blues.

I used BM Crown Point Sand which is almost an exact match to Ramie. I love mine too!! Sometimes tan with a hint of green and sometimes a touch of gold. Goes with everything.
