The Kitchen Table

I saw something online yesterday and can't find it now....arrrggg

I think it was from an advertisement email from BH&G...or something like that.

It was a Christmas stocking.

I thought it was kind of strange, since Christmas is over.

It was a deep dark red fleece stocking with an off white felt for the top. The stocking had a blanket stitch in black around the edge of the stocking with a silhouette of a bear in black felt. I believe the felt was wool felt.

I'm sure I can make one without the picture...but it would be nice to have the picture to look at.

I know someone who is very into bears and lives in a wooded area. These stocking would be something that would look nice at their home next Christmas.

I would like to make them a couple.

Anyone seen it...I've tried google...but I keep finding teddy bear type things holding a stocking...lol

Can you check your trash bin if it was an email that you deleted? You might try looking at yesterday's 'history' too if it were a web page you looked at. (Go which should be at the top of your monitor, then History).

Steve, you should push it to the corner of your driveway, so I can have it, then you can go out and buy a brand new mower! JUST KIDDIN'! Congrats on your mower! Is it your first LB? There are several LB fans here that wouldn't trade them or sell them off for anything, especially now since they're no longer made. It's amazing how well a 30 year old mower can still run and handle, almost like it's 3 years old! Like Walt said, those years had an aluminum tag riveted to the deck usually between the rear wheels. Later on, they used an aluminum backed sticker tags sometimes towards the right rear wheel, and some on the left side back at the rear wheel. Unless the deck had been reconditioned, those tags generally will still be visible. I'm actually getting ready to totally recondition one of mine with all new engine parts and powder coating the deck, new wheels etc. All my other LB's ran forever and well enough never for me really get the desire to do this, just something to do! This mower will no doubt be around long enough for me to end my mowing chores as an old man.

Clothes pins are still usable. We, machine knitters, use them all the time to hold yarn tails down. I also use them for other craft projects as well. Manufacturers should not do away with them ever! Pammyfay, you story is cute. It reminded me of when this young cable salesman came by my home tried to sell the service. I politely told him "no thanks". He responded back by asking: "who do you use to watch TV?". "No one. I use OTA", I replied back. He looked puzzled and asked me: "What's OTA?" in which I said "Over the Air channels". Still looking puzzled, I explained further that we use a roof antenna to pick up these over the air channels. He then asked me: "How much do you pay for the service?". "None, it's free" I replied. His final comment was: "Oh, we can't beat that price then" and walked away. LOL...

Hi Socks! Hey, I'm still making a recipe of yours, except that I cannot for the life of me remember which one it is right now LOL. I'm sure it will come back to me. (I did think the film was a bit too long and dragged a bit, but overall, we both loved it.) I'd like to say that I'm happy that you KT folks discuss movies! I can't seem to find anyplace else to get some recommendations and talk about them and the film forum here on GW is pretty dead. We try to see all or most, of the Oscar nominated films each year and it makes the Academy Awards kind of fun for us to watch.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Why Can't I Find One I Like at All!

We're nearly twins, jerzee! My vanity was supposed to be a warm mid-brown and it turned out darker, more mahogany-looking than I'd planned. Counter is also Cararra. My walls are SW Antique White, sort of french vanilla, and floors are a mid gray tile. Initially I thought the walls were too warm for the grays and chrome, but I like gray and cream together and I'm leaving it all as is. I had stressed over matching or mixing the metals and, in the end, have mostly chrome except for a bit of satin nickel. Nobody notices or cares. I hope you like the original finish on the mirror. A lot depends on how it works in your space. I have plenty of natural light in my bathroom. If you decide to go more silver, I can share what I did, plus what I did at first and what you should avoid doing. :)

Ads rotate, so that if you go back to a page thinking you're going to see the same ad you saw a few minutes ago, it might have changed. If you have an idea what page the ad was on, you could try refreshing. It may take quite a few tries before the ad comes back up.

I haven't seen it Patti, but I googled bear silohuettes and came up with this. The stocking part should be pretty easy.

Try google to find it. Use the "advanced search" page.

Also, look at your bousing 'history'. It may still be in there depending on your settings.
