Do you carry wet wipes in your purse?

I always have a package in my purse because I am with Grant alot.

I know other people use them for lots of other reasons too.

Instead of just the regular boring package I made a case for them...much cuter don't you think?

They are all done on the embroidery machine so they are simple to make and the stitch time is 15 minutes.

Now I have lots of covers so I'll just give them away cause I sure don't need a wardrobe for my wet wipes! LOL

Those are really cute Jenni. I try to buy them at Bath & Body when they have them which isn't often.

I love them Jenni! I don't carry them in my purse, but should. Is that the pattern that you told me was all done in the embroidery hoop? I would love to have the pattern to see if I can make them. They are easy, huh? LOL

My lost & found experiences: Like a lot of people I often think how great it would be to find a bunch of money. But I always hope that If I do, PLEASE let there be no ID with it, because thanks to that guilt trip my Mom (very religious) laid on my when I was a kid, I'd have to do all I could to locate the rightful owner. I wouldn't ask for a reward either. I wouldn't turn it in anywhere because I believe that sadly in this day and age the average person would just pocket it. Found $65 on the floor of a nightclub in Avalon NJ, just the money, no ID. Sweet! Found $30 in Sears parking lot at Neshaminy Mall, NE Phila. - no car parked nearby. Again, cash only. Found a passport walking from the train to work. Tracked down the owner, called, said I'd bring it over. Knocked / rang the bell, no answer, car in the driveway. I think they didn't want to risk me asking for a reward (I wouldn't). I left it in the mailbox. When my 24 year old daughter was 3 she found a childs wallet in the playground with $3 and address / phone number inside. She wanted to keep it but I said we have to return it. The mother didn't eveen say thank you. I gave Kris $1 as a reward. When I delivered pizza part time I found $43 with no ID in the shop but it was where the drivers congregated and there was only one other driver working with me. I returned the money. Older peope are no more or less honest than the younger ones. Again as a pizza deliverer, I took an order to a florist shop. When they paid me I put the money in my jacket pocket, something I never did, usually. Walking back to the car I reached in to retrieve the money & felt only change. I turn back toward the door - I'm about 30 feet away - and the old lady who ran the register by the door is scuttling toward the bill, a ten, reaching for it when her eyes met mine. I quickly said 'Looks like I dropped my change.' She replied 'Yeah, I guess so.' or something like that. She got up and walked back inside.

When I graduated from high school in '65, my mother's friend gave me a clutch type wallet as a graduation gift, and somehow, very quickly, that evolved into my purse, and I have just carried a wallet like that ever since. I carry the same one for years...until it literally falls apart. Right now, the zipper on the zippered coin compartment is broken, so when I am out and I get change, I carry it in my pocket, or put it in the console of my truck. My truck is my purse. I keep receipts in my wallet and about once a month, take them out and put them away. I save a lot of my change, and keep it in a jar in one of my cupboards. Once a month, I empty the jar and put it away. I try to make sure I save a little more each month than I did the previous one. I've tried carrying a purse a couple of times since I switched to the wallet and it seems so heavy and kills my shoulders. Hairbrush and anything I think I will need....I keep in my truck.

I carry a small purse. Absolutely hate carrying a purse but snug jean pockets don't hold much more than a knife or a cell. Inside pocket has a pill container,nail clippers,gum and a little tooth pick/brush thingy. Main compartment has a small wide toothed comb,wipes,a pen,my cell phone and my wallet. Still has room for my pocket camera if I want. Keys are there when the day starts. Once I use them they go in my pocket. I don't carry a real wallet. It is one of those little leather flat ones with a larger zippered main compartment,an outer zipped coin pocket and a couple of open compartments on the other side for ID,cards etc. All receipts etc are removed nightly along with change. I use cash for almost everything. I don't use debit cards or credit cards except for a couple of store credit cards one of which is also a use anywhere Visa. Haven't wrote a check in over a decade other than for house hold utility bills and mortgage and now I pay online so no need for a checkbook.

OMG, wait for this. The irony. Last week I got some sort of insect bite on my right temple. I didn't see an insect or feel a bite, just tenderness, I ignored it. 2 days later it was still bothering me so DH took a pic of it and we went on the internet trying to figure out what the heck might have bitten me. Nothing seemed to match. The evening of the next day, I felt tenderness and swelling on the same side of my face, and determined that there is lymph node in that area and apparently it was swollen. So I decided would call my Dr. the next morning (Saturday) to see if I could be seen (they have Saturday am hours). I woke up and the lymphnode swelling was nearly gone, but I called my Dr. Saturday am anyway. I explained everything ...and they said to take Benadryl. OK. Well, this afternoon my DH told me he just didn't like the look of it (it had gotten very red) and he also thought i was getting a bruise mark under my eye. He insisted either ER or a walk in clinic (my Dr's was closed today). So off we want and guess what ... I have a staph infection! I may or may not have been bitten, any sort of tiny break in the skin is enough, since most of us have these organisms on our skin anyway. I also was visiting Mom in the hospital last week, and I might have contracted it there. While I was at the clinic today, I asked the Dr. about prevention. His 2 cents (and he called it that) was that you cannot entirely prevent these things without living in a bubble, and for most of us most of the time it's not a big deal. He also said that soap and water are vastly superior since they physically wash away and thus remove bacteria. Sanitizers of course try to kill them but not remove them, but many bacterium have become increasingly resistant to alcohol in the past 20 years since sanitizers became popular. In a similar vein, as you may have heard, many infections we used to treat w penicillin now require IV antibiotic. So, ladies, I guess I will be ordering a few cases of these. ; )

I do carry wet wipes in my purse, especially when we are travelling. Those covers are neat! I bought 14 of the fabric Kleenex covers (purse size) and used them as Christmas gifts for a Senior Citizen's Sunday School Class. They were delighted! I'll bet the wet wipes covers would be a hit, also. You are so creative, Jenni! Bettye/AZ

Yes, I carry them too, usually. If I go to the casino boats (rarely) I grab a handful. I'm out now. Guess I better go to the boats.

Yes! Even DH has learned to at least keep them in the car. I buy my purses huge, so they always fit my wipes in them. They're the greatest invention!

I don't always carry in my purse, sometimes I do. But always in the glove compartment of my car.
Never know when the boys,Maddie or DH will make a mess!

I bought the pattern design from an embroidery website called MooseBStitchin......she has lots of cool stuff.

I always have some under the seat of my car. Even though my "baby" will be 16 next month, they still come in handy!

Jenni...what keeps the fabric of the holder down around the oval of the opening. It looks like it would just slide up and off.

Can't that oval be done in a tight zig zag?

Those are so cute, Jenni! I keep Wet Ones in the glove box, they come in so handy! I try to keep a single package one in my purse, but they're getting harder to find. I'll have to look for those smaller packages, what section of the store carries them- baby?

(I carry small purses, so space is premium.)

Patti, it is satin stiched around the opening, just a bit smaller than the opening. It does not even slip off a little.
She designs things very well so there is never any problems.
The wipes fit inside the case then a flap folds in to keep them in.

Jenni, I would love one for DD who is the mother of our 15 month old grandson and planning #2 shortly. Are you selling them? I don't have a machine that would embroider or I would try to make one myself.

Always have them with me, either in the car or purse. With a messy DH and 4 DGS they certainly save the day a lot.

I don't carry a purse,but always have them in my car and here in the sewing/craft room.

Those are sooooo cute and you missy are sooooooooo talented.You sew faster than my mind works these days.LOL

I have carried Wet Wipes in my purse for so many years I can't remember when I first starting carrying them! I also keep some in one of my cubicle drawers at work, so I can easily refill my purse supply when needed.

Jenni! These are sooo cute! I missed this thread...you posted on the day we had Ricky's birthday party...then ended up at the ER with our youngest son. He had a horrible case of hives and eventually was having chest pains and trouble breathing! Anyway....I see this was the date of this post. I just have to say these are perfect and thanl you for taking my order! I am giving them to DILs for mother's day! They love this kind of stuff too....so different! Cute, cute, cute!!
