Morning everyone! Was up late last night. Going to walk on the treadmill in a little bit and then have to take Lauren to a sleepover birthday party. So, we have to run to Wal-mart for a card. She wants to give her cash so easy gift. Coming home and cleaning the house.

I made myself a tuna sandwich and in the process, busted a new jar of pickle relish all over the kitchen floor. All that for nothing because there was still a little bit in the old jar in the frigde.

Coming home and going to start cleaning the house. Lauren did a load of laundry this morning, YEAH! lol.

It's so nice and pretty out there today, going to be in the 70s. What are your plans today?

Hopefully it'll warm up enough I can go out and rake up some dead stuff from over the winter. It's supposed to get up to 69Â°. I'm also going to try and get my little fence into the ground. The ground is like cement, but we've had rain for a couple days, and hopefully it's moist enough that I can get the fence into it.
I have the DGK until around 3:30. I'm trying to get Jayden to go to sleep for a nap right now.

Well, my riding mower is on the fritz, so I have someone mowing my yard for me as I type. So, one thing is going off the list.

Then I want to go look at the "zero gravity" lawn chairs. When I was on the beach last year everyone had one. Really cool, but about $79-$120. Our Dollar General has a spin off for $49.00, but it is still in the box and I can't tell if they are the same type. Great for chilling and reading a good book.

Then to the Nursery for more plants.

I only have experience with Heavenly Blue MG's and they did not do well in a pot. They did indeed insist on climbing and then I think they just ran out of root space because they suddenly stopped growing and flowering.

Update on the day: The living room is so clean. The floor looks fantastic, the furniture is polished, fabrics are washed, cords are corralled. I’m even up to date on the Murdaugh trial, having listened to the Netflix doc at the same time. The poor kitty ventured out once the vacuuming stopped. I haven’t done much in there ever since DH moved his office home…noise, bustle, commentary, meals, etc. But now it looks so good, the dining room next door to it wants a spa day, too! For now, I’m going to collapse in a clean chair with a glass of wine and watch something entertaining.

At our old house, our stove died and for YEARS, I cooked with a 2 burner hot plate and a toaster oven. We did not replace the stove until we moved into our new house, do not know why. I guess I just made it work. Now, I always have backups to cook. In addition to the pink air fryer and toaster oven, I have an electric skillet and electric griddle (both in a beautiful shade of pink, to match everything else) just in case the stove dies and I cant replace it right away, or more likely, delivery is delayed as is was for the fridge. They are both still in the box. But I like having them, just in case. I find takeout less and less desirable now, and do not remember the last time I went through a drive through. I just feel so much better eating home made food, I cannot imagine going for a week or more eating nothing but takeout. And SO will almost NEVER eat food that is not homemade. He thinks everyone that is not me is "nasty" about cleanliness and food prep and hygiene. He's gotten worse over the years. I have a glass top stove and like it fine. Its easier to clean. I can very quickly adapt to any heat source for cooking though. My parents and sister have gas stoves, which are easy to cook on, I have an electric glass top, which took a bit of adjustment because I had to learn that the burners STAY HOT for a long time after you turn them off and you have to factor that in. Same with my stove at work, which is electric with the coils, with I find fiddly to clean and wouldn't choose that for my home. If I ever have to replace the one at home, I would get another glass top. As for my day, it's just getting started. Work work work. I MUST remember to stop by the store on my way to work tomorrow night and get the last ingredients I need to cook the finger food feast for my sister and our own Christmas feast. I need chicken and a baguette. I do NOT want to have to go to the store on Christmas Eve, after working all night, in the middle of a cooking binge. So I hope that I haven't forgotten anything. For tonight though, I am going to settle in, pick which Christmas movie to put on the projector for decoration for everyone to enjoy (either Elf or Christmas Vacation, cant decide) I play it on repeat all night, and hope I have a slow, uneventful night.

Gayle, I bought one for $39 at Kohl's about three weeks ago. I just love it. Anna wants one for her room. I've seen them advertised at several places for $39 and $49 lately. The say regularly $129 to $159. I have to get out this afternoon to return some purchases. If I spot one I'm going to get it for Anna and surprise her.

Nice recliner! Only problem for me is GETTING OUT OF THE DARN THING!

Slept late, no water today.
No plans at all!

Might go buy a plant!

Woke up w/ 2 grandchildren here that spent the night. I just now got one off home and the other one is helping DH mow down at his mother's old house. I've done some yard work and would like a trip to Blue Moon in Edom, Tx, but know enough to not go on the week end. It's incredible. DH and I have a date late afternoon, so that'll be something unusual to not have any grandchildren OR children around!! I don't know why they love to come here so much--we're basically boring people!

I have Makayla and Kaden until Monday. This morning Kaden woke me up around 8 AM,
then Makayla got up; they ate some pop tarts and a banana, got their bath and we went to the mall.
They got their 'glamour pics' taken, I have to pick out the package Monday evening. But, I did take some
pics of them after we got home. Now, they are watching 'Mary Popkins'; we will have dinner along with some
ice cream for dessert. The weather is just lovely here, it is 83 now with some rain showers coming in later then it will cool off.

Hi Kath and everyone else.
It's 85Âº here at 4:30pm - a beautiful day! Jammer's son just came and mowed our yard and it looks so nice.

I swept off the front porch and put out the new flowering baskets that I bought, refilled the hummer feeders and got a few more pots ready to plant some pretty flowers in. My problem is that I have to drive 30 miles to buy plants!

I've never seen the "zero gravity" lawn chairs. Looks comfortable. Does it move/rock? I may check in to them if I can find a store that sells them near here. I also need to buy a cushion for my porch swing. I no longer have any natural padding *S*, so that swing sure gets hard after a while!

Good evening Kath and everyone else. I had a busy day. I went for a walk this morning, and then I went with my daughter to pick out brick edging for her front garden. Then we went to two greenhouses, and then to another store to do an errand. Then I came home and cleaned out the greenhouse and even vacuumed it. I planted some seeds too. I made a ham dinner, and washed the inside of my car. I made sure the dogs got lots of fresh air today. Right now I'm thinking about getting on the treadmill for 20 minutes.
