Try Tuesday morning...Go to the largest one close to you as they will have the most rugs.

Here are a few similar ideas. I recently purchased this first rug from Just Wool Rugs with the blue in center & ivory border; however it also comes with ivory in center. Very thick & plush. It's Dynamic Charisma blue/ivory.

I've looked up the info in my old emails and it appears that that rug is 8x10. It's probably not that size exactly but within a few inches either way. It's more a robin's egg blue and it's hand-knotted. My memory is fuzzy but I believe it was around $5000 or $6000. (Maybe my old posts here have more specific info.)

I spoke with someone named Jon at Holly Peters Rugs, which I believe was in the Boston area. The email address is hollypetersrugs @ aol.com. This was back in October so I have no idea if the rug is still there--or if Jon is still there for that matter.

Since that time, I did see similarly-colored rugs at Costco Home, although they're probably not the same quality. I don't have those photos anymore, but I did link to a rug at Costco .com. I haven't seen it IRL, but it looks like it is robin's egg blue.

Have you checked Ballard? They have a good selection in those colors as well as Restoration Hardware. There is of course always ebay as well.

Shoot. That link above didn't work. But hopefully you were able to find it by scrolling down and finding it in the traditional rug section of the Costco site.

Another idea is a rug from Jaipur. Jaipur calls it Pani ice blue and tobacco, but Costco calls it Platanus. FWIW, it will be much much cheaper at Costco than you will find it elsewhere.

8'x10'is a bit small though, for the room. The colors are so perfect though!

Thanks Hilltop for the sugestions also. I have seen a few rugs with the darker palette, but what I like about the rug in the picture is the softer colors lots of ivory, with just a bit of gold accent. That is what seems hard to find, and that perfect blue! Many of the oriental rugs seem to be in a darker, more sage-color blue and/or to have lots of darker accents.

I have a white room with white trim, with a medium-tone oak hardwood floor. I don't have the furniture for it yet, but plan to do silk draperies in an off-white champagne color, a sofa in a champagne color damask, and some chairs in that same very pale teal color in the rug, with some gold accents. That's if I can find the right rug!

I did find this one online, but haven't checked yet on what sizes it comes in, and I do not like it nearly as well as Meg's find:

I think the large size is going to be tough. I looked at a few of the big name rug makers, and only found a few that seem to offer rugs in the larger sizes. I found some larger rugs, (though not the colors) at Kalaty and Safavieh. If anyone knows of others that offer the larger sizes, let me know.

though again, the size is a problem--can't find one big enough.
