Should I replace my copper pipes

We're ripping the house apart and our contractor suggests that we replace our copper pipes with CPVC or pex while we have the chance. The house was built in 1985, and we haven't had any trouble with the pipes. The plumbers who've looked at the pipes say they're in good condition and that they can tie into them with CPVC when they redo our plumbing.

Should we replace the copper plumbing even if it's not a problem?

Thanks!
